  1. Pretty sure it was the rods. we had our reel spooled with yarn
  2. I was reading a thread in the Rod section of the forum on high end rods and if they're worth the $$$. This is a true story believe it or NOT. Three of us were out fishing on our local muddy pond the other day. My son was fishing with a G. Loomis IMX he was dragging the bottom and said, Dad there is a coin on the bottom of the pond, I could feel it. I said that was amazing so I threw my GLX out and when I brought it back in I could feel that there was indeed a coin laying on the bottom I could tell, it was a dime. My father then threw his NRX out, brought it back slowly and said your both right There is a coin down there, it is a dime and the date on it is 1992. My Dad was impressed with his NRX. True fish story, really
  3. So what's the big deal??? you take some stupid rubber froggy pull it on top of a bunch of stinken weeds and a huge fish jumps out of the drink and kills the frog. oh wow, about as boring as SEX!!!!!
  4. WOW!!!! where did everybody go ?????
  5. 844 is also an excellent jig rod imo
  6. Looking at either the NRX803s or NRX852s. I have a GLX BSR852 and find it a little weak on a long hook sets. But other than that I love it. Thus the reason I'm looking at a NRX803. I need all the info and first hand experience you can feed me. What do you throw on either rod? etc. Also How would the 803 handle a senko or fat ika? Thanks
  7. I LOVE that rod !!! Yes I have two GLX's one always has a jig on it the other usually has a frog. I enjoy it's longer handle when I'm working a hollow body.

  9. 7" Berkley power worm
  10. I own Calais, chronarch, curado. My son owns a citica. For the money it is hard to beat a citica.
  11. I heard that the gore-tex in the 832 aloud the line to sink. Others say nay ???? Might be a subject for another thread. does anybody here know???
  12. No NO NO NO NO Top of the list when your out on a boat TOILET PAPER Before rods, reel, tackle box, food & water, TOILET PAPER
  13. Thinking about trying the sinking braid for lighter baits. Anyone tried it???
  14. If you get a chance to hit the Snake around Burley to Murtaugh it can be awesome.
  15. I fished for LM when the opportunity arises and SM when that opportunity arises. I started fishing for smallies when I started fishing the Snake River where the smallies hang out.
  16. I tend to go with a quality rod first. The IMX is far superior to GL2 or GL3IMO. Personally I would not even consider anything lower than IMX in a G.Loomis rod.
  17. had my most luck with swimming senko on top or just under the surface, when the bass are actively working up there.
  18. Hate fishing in the wind. Unless I catch fish like that.
  19. gonna be a great year !!!
  20. Lindner & hook n look
  21. Hollow body frog on top or punch through the top of the vegetation with a heavy tungsten weight and braid. Can be some mighty big ones waiting for you down there.
