  1. no you dont Then what do you suggest? while braid might be preferred by many for frogs, you dont 'have to' or 'gotta' use it to have success with frogs is all im saying. to clarify, my comment is based on how iceintheveins worded his sentence. if he had said "when froggin braid is probably the best line to use" i probably would have not even replied. but to blatantly say or even imply you cant catch fish on a frog without braid like he did, i felt it was a fallacy or inaccuracy. plus for me if its top water frogs, i feel like hooking the fish is more about timing and focus than the line youre using. then again, maybe im more ignorant towards the subject than i think, ive had just as many good days as bad days with frogs... That's more what I meant, is that braid is BEST, but not required. May I have an aspirin, please
  2. I've had ever little success bank fishing. But Wells Fargo has produced more than Citi-Bank. for me anyway.

  4. All I know is a couples years ago during a hot bite on regular tubes, I tried a SK coffee tube for the first time. The bass were swallowing it. I de barbed the hook & tried to be faster on my hook set to avoid gut hooks. I'm convinced there's something to it.

  6. Tubes have always worked great on LMB for me.I did run into a big problem with "coffee tubes" one day. I finally had to de-barb my hook cause the bass were devouring them so deep. Did not have that problem with any other brand that day. ;D

  10. I'm looking for a versitile rod that will mainly be used for Frogging. I am NOT interested in the "FGR 863 Frog Rod" Preferrable GLX or IMX. Any ideas ???
  11. Someone stepped on my 7' XML MH rod the other day. > I found myself using it 90% of the time for frogging. Now that it needs to be replaced I was considering going to a H or is there anyother XML that would work better as a frog rod????
  12. My experience: I have a ES70mf St. Croix & a GLX BSR852. IMO there is no comparison. The GLX out performs the St. Croix by a wide margin.

  14. Why is Shimano's lub so hard to find? I've never seen any at BassPro, Cabelas, Sportmans Warehouse, Joe's, ??? Where do you get it ?? Do you have to go through Shimano???

  19. I have two older stradic that have been just fine. I too have heard of too many problem with the new FI. So when I was in the market for a new reel I went with the "Sustain". I think the old stradics were a better value.

  21. I have 2 GLX (MBR844,BSR852) a g.loomis crankstick (cbr843) a St.Croix elite(ES70MF) 2 cabelas XML ti & a XML. I'm well satisfied with all of them. Do I catch more fish on the GLX's??? heck I don't know. Do I enjoy fishing more with the GLX's? most definitely.
