  1. Well, It's been awhile since I've posted here with work and just life in general... But we managed to get out on Saturday and stuck a few 25 to be exact. No big pigs yet. Man it was nice to be on the water!
  2. Holy crap I've missed a lot on this thread since I started it. Definetly have to find time to keep up with it.
  3. Stock mount is what I'm after. I don't need a whole unit. I've got 2 now just missing a mount for one. Thanks guys.
  4. I'm pulling my hair out here trying to find a mount for a Lowarance X55A. Anyone have a number for it? Because I sure can't find one. Thanks, Tom
  5. JT- Lakeland and the cons. area can be some tough fishing. I haven't fished Lakeland in about 4 or 5 years. Last time I did we caught a bunch of short fish. As the cons. area goes I've been there 2 times this year and the biggest was probably around 3. I bought a camper out at the Giant Goose Ranch so I've been fishing and learning those waters (when I get time from working on my add on and when my son doesn't have baseball). It's a really nice place to fish.
  6. Well, at least ya'll are catching fish... Been out a few times but due to my sons travel baseball schedule and practice I haven't been on the water much and I'm afraid that won't change until the middle of July......
  7. Whatever the vanilla stuff is that mama buys. May be bugginz or something else, I'll ask when she gets home. Oh and .GHOTI. dig the headline above your pic. I'm gonna say nope.......
  8. And speaking of some nice musky water in my neck of the woods, check out Double T outside of Canton, Canton Lake, and also Shovel Lake at Banner Marsh
  9. If your gonna add Zatarain's as a side, It has to be their dirty rice!
  10. boostr, The 7-up gives the fish a sweet taste and kills some of the fishy flavor. Started doing this because my kids weren't big on eating fish because of the "fishy" taste. Now it's just a habit
  11. I fry all my fish doesn't matter what I catch and keep. 1st Fillet said fish out 2nd Soak in 7-up overnight 3rd Mix Andy's Red and Hamm's fish batter 1/2 and 1/2 ( or whatever batter you prefer to use) Finally throw them bad boys in the fryer and enjoy !
  12. Does Canton High School enter this tournament? If not I will get you the email address for the AD
  13. Simple enough my first name and last initial. I'm not creative and like to keep things simple.
  14. I like the 3 smokes that I have and plan on picking up another one soon. Can't say I've had a problem with any of mine. I also have a bunch of older Q's that I can still break out and use. Proper maintenance is all it takes to have a reel last forever.
  15. Currently, sitting here looking at BR and restringing my ice fishing poles for a tournament tomorrow
  16. Right now, About 5 ft., I'll pitch and flip into my aquarium In all reality I'd stop as soon as I found soft water....................
  17. Well, I took this test twice and it put me in Little Rock, AR., Jackson, MS., and Columbus, GA. . Not sure if that's a good thing considering I was born, raised, and still live in central IL.
  18. I actually do use the hot sauce oil and grease, before it came out I used Berkley oil and grease. I think I may try the ardent at some time though just to see if I can tell any real difference.
  19. Well, I suppose I should post considering I think of myself as a Quantum aficionado. I currently own a whole dang bunch of them. Some old like the 3:8.1 cranking reel and what not to my new found loves the Smoke series. A reel is only as good as the person behind it. Proper maintenance and it will last for ever. Heck I've got some of the 20 dollar Quantums from when I was a kid that I still would take out and fish with. I may be in the minority here, but, I've never had a problem with any of mine...............
  20. So we took a stroll on to the ice yesterday. Solid 7 inches............... Great............ On the other hand the old lady and boy both caught their first fish through the ice.
  21. A new Quantum Smoke, yes I said Quantum, in 5:3.1, Some misc. tackle and time spent ice fishing with the family
  22. Nice_Bass just do like we did on Saturday when we went duck hunting. Take a bag of salt with ya and throw it down the ramp. Just don't bust your arse like my buddy did when we were throwing it out.
  23. Terminator Quad blade spinnerbaits - loved them, to bad I lost all of mine. Culprit Original worms in Bluegill Color
  24. Being from IL myself I will say no it won't make you a better bass fisherman. On the other hand there is nothing like fresh caught crappie, and gills through the ice!
  25. Ok folks. Here it goes, I'm pretty much set in my ways on soft plastics, but today I picked up 5 packs of different Havoc baits at $1.59 a pop. Basically all I'm after is your different opinions on these baits. I figured at that price what the heck.
