B.P.S Double take
I've actually got a friend that uses it quite effectively. I don't necessarily think he catches more fish because of it but never the less he does catch fish on it. You won't find me picking one up anytime soon though.

Crainkbaits
I'm a big fan of anything Norman, especially their DD series. The DD22 & DD14 have always been a solid crankbaits up at Lake Itasca & Elk Lake in Itasca State Park. But you can't go wrong with anything Rapala or Bandit.

Bass Players
Man what a nice bass. I traded basses with a friend of mine for about 3 months one time. I got his Mike Lull bass & he got my Warrior Studio. I've got to say that that Mike Lull was an amazing bass. Very light like you said with amazing punch & tone. Sad that there are so many bass players out there that don't even know what a Mike Lull bass is.

Bass Players
I used to have one of these goofy things in a 5 string when I used to do a lot of fly dates. Actually a surprisingly good sound. Never really did get used to the feel of it but sure made flying with a bass much easier. http://images.miretail.com/products/optionlarge/Steinberger/544634jpg.jpg

Beautiful J-bass Knifemaker. I've got a S1 series strat in that exact same color scheme with a rosewood neck.

Bass Players
I also have an all original 76 Fender P-bass which I don't play that much but absolutely love.

Bass Players
Very nice my friend. EB makes a very nice bass. Got a nice wide neck, which I like, & a nice round but fat tone. They don't do a lot of different tones but the few they get are excellent. I play Warrior basses. The one in my AV I don't have anymore because I sold it to buy a ring for my then fiance now wife. But I still have my Warrior Isabella which is twice the bass as that other one.

Man, what a fish! That thing is huge.

Any guitar players here?
Totally agree. However I think there are some acoustics that sound quite nice plugged in. All though those usually have a bridge pickup & a built in mic inside that you can pan or mix. However this particular guitar is not one of the good sounding ones when plugged in.

Any guitar players here?
Interesting. I would love to pick one up & see how it feels/sounds. Better yet I would love for someone else to play one & see how well the sound projects. Without reading up on the guitars I'm guessing that by moving the sound hole to the top they are trying to maximize the sound boards' vibrations. But by taking the sound hole off the front you would lose a lot of the frontal sound projection. That's what makes Mcpherson guitars so fantastic. They found a way to increase the vibration & sound projection by keeping the sound hole on the front, just in a different location. Interesting guitars for sure though. I will have to check one out sometime.

Which do you prefer
I go back & forth. When it's the winter olympics I like the winter games better, but when it's the summer olympics I like the summer games better. But if I have to give an answer I would have to go with the summer olympics.

Biggest Mistake After Putting The Boat In The Water
My dad & I have 2 boats, 1 bass tracker & 1 deep hull big water boat that we got from my grandfather when he passed away. We decided to go up to lake texoma & see how it ran. When we take the tracker out my dad will get in the boat & i'll back him down into the water then park. Well we did the same thing with the big boat but we didn't really do a good job of looking at the trailer before hand. We had no idea that the boat was resting on rollers on the trailer. I started to back the boat down & heard/felt something weird going on & then a huge crash. Yeah, that boat had rolled off the trailer right onto the boat ramp. Man did we feel stupid trying to fix that problem while other anglers patiently waited to launch their boats the proper way ;D The boat ran fine that day & continues too. It's built like a tank. P.S. The boat wasn't technically in the water but without a doubt the biggest mistake we ever made while going fishing.

Summer gloves
Man wear that bass thumb with pride. I love it when my thumb gets all scratched up, means I had a good day. But if it really bothers you, get a bogo grip. Or if you want a really cheap method I guess you could just put a strip of Duct tape on your thumb.

gloves
I use these & like them quite well. They have slits & velcro on the thumbs & pointer fingers so that you peel them back if you want. Makes it easier for tying knots & stuff or for thumbing the spool on a baitcaster. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_73534____SearchResults

Deep water crankin
DD22 floating, & i've got to be hitting something when i'm cranking. Weather it be the bottom or some type of cover, if i'm not hitting it then i'm not real confident that i'm going to get bit.

Favourite "dog-days" of summer lure

If you could thank one person..
2 people. First & foremost my dad, for loving the outdoors, & fishing so much. For taking so much time out of his life to pass on that love to me. Second would be my great uncle who taught my dad everything he knows about the outdoors, which has now been passed onto me.

Classic Leaderboard
I'm just happy to see James Niggemeyer doing so well. He's very deserving of a top finish in the classic.

Mark Zona "Interviews" Glenn!
Haha. That's great. Seems like a really cool guy.

P90X
No kidding. That was the absolute worst. I would always mute the tv & work out to music because I can't stand listening to Tony. It does work, but only if you follow it religiously. A work bud of mine has now lost 26lbs. He's on day 70 something.
