  3. I was a great trumpet player in highschool. Before my band teacher made me choose between fishing or the trumpet, I'm guessing you all know what I picked ;D
  4. What about the old vinegar and baking soda trick?
  5. True that lol, I'm sorry guys I just don't see that as a viable solution. How could the state do that? I'd be so mad
  6. Are you serious? I didnt know they could do that?
  7. lmao i always liked the marshmellow peeps in the microwave... except for the day one exploded
  8. Do you mean the creek channels? Those are often really good in the fall when bass are following schools of baitfish and gorging on them to get ready for winter
  9. I dont know how it works in Canada but in PA where i live bass season doesnt open til june 21st or 22nd. But they allow you to fish catch and release anytime during the year, you just cant keep bass until the season starts
  10. I've only fished it a few times, along with any other lakes though. Its hard to get out with college and such, the lakes I know the best are the ones I fish tournaments on
  11. I'm at college in western maryland and I have to say the only body of water worth fishing in this state is the potomac! The lakes suck really bad this time of year, I can see it heatin up in the summer though
  12. lol anytime i'm fishing a pond and i see an area that has shallower water all around it I call it a "hole" it might not be correct terminology. But i mean the deeper water
  13. lol there are alot of pike in glendale lake
  14. Lisa its good to see you back! how was ur tourny at crooked creek?
  15. I'd fish the holes this time of year with a creature bait or a jig. But if its warmer now the fish might actually be staged so a rattletrap or spinnerbait would probably work well too. But if they aren't on the flats thats what I would do
  16. Welcome!
  17. "BOOOYAAAHHHHH!!" everytime i hear that I crack up
  18. I'm really hoping that they don't have any matchups with the caps... lol
  19. lol GO PENS, they won last night 4-1
  20. I really only use the soft plastic ones. And the ribbits at that, i never really got into the ones that float on top of the slop
  21. I think its a game where middle aged to old men chase a little round ball around someones big backyard. I must admit though the little cars and the lakes in those peoples backyards are alot of fun in themselves, why would someone waste all that space to chase around a tiny white ball is beyond me
  22. yeah it doesnt look like the pond is eutrophic it just looks like they may have put weed killer in the lake. But a eutrophic lakes do have less dissolved oxygen. the weeds do produce oxygen but I believe its the bacteria that break down the decaying plant matter that make the pond have less dissolved oxygen. Because they require the dissolved O2 as well they use it up and theres less dissolved O2 for other aquatic animals to live off of. They don't necessarily lead to lots of fish kills because of it, but they do diminish the O2 supply.
  23. Welcome! nice name
