  1. I was wondering when Mr. Lusk would make an appearance. As always, great post, I just wish most the information didn't go way over my head. Glenn, do you take nominations for Elite member. If so, Bob Lusk is my nominee.
  2. Do you read or just look at the pictures? Take it easy, I read it that he caught the picture at just the right time. Sorry. In the future, I will aspire to be as smart as you.
  3. How deep into the head should the hook be inserted?
  4. Is that lower fish hooked? It looks like it has something in its mouth.
  5. Play at least twice a week. Love it.
  6. Forgot my favorite one: "Uncommon valor was a common virtue."
  7. Sometimes I think the line in the movie Stupid is as stupid does was written just for me. ;D
  8. If you are first in line at a light, when it turns green always check both ways before going into the intersection. Don't assume everybody stops on red. Learned this one the hard way. Getting T-Boned hurts.
  9. Just wondering.....Has anyone ever seen Zel and Forrest Gump in the same room???? ;D Edit: Please don't take that the wrong way.
  10. I guess my recap wasn't exactly perfect but, I got the main idea anyway. Thanks for the link.
  11. I saw this story on Yahoo, I would post a link but I am clueless as to how to do that. So here is my recap. Small college softball game, berth in the playoffs is at stake. Home team comes up in the bottom half of the last inning down by two I think. Girl hits a walk off three run homer, only problem is she blows out her knee rounding first base and can't stand up. Obviously she needs to cross the plate in order for the run to count, teammates can't help her or she will be called out. Two girls from the opposing team pick her up and carry her around the bases. Wow! That's sportmanship.
  12. I watch him on NESN as well. I enjoy the show. Sorry everyone!
  13. Good interview, thanks Glenn. There is a nice article about Ish Monroe in this mornings Boston Globe sports section. I don't know the link but, I am sure it is out there. I'm old school, I actually read the real newspaper.
  14. I took my daughter on her second birthday. The advice about it being our day, not mine is good. I hope I can remember that next time we go.
  15. Great thread! I too collect quoutes, here are some of my favorites: "We do not learn from experience, only from reflecting on experience." -Robert Garmston "We don't know what works until after it has." - Frederick Hess "When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on!" - FDR "A man never likes you so well as when he leaves your company liking himself" - Anon. "A smooth sea never made a skillful mariner." - Anon. "No one can be authentic by trying to imitate someone else, you can learn from others' experiences, but there is no way you can be successful when you are trying to be like them. People trust you when you are genuine and authentic, not a replica of someone else." - Anon. "Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are." - John Wooden "If we always do what we've always done, we will get always get what we've always got." - Adam Urbinski "How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time." - Clint Hurdle, in reference to how the Rockies were going to overcome a 3-0 World Series deficit
  16. I like to quoute the great American Ebby Calvin "Nuke" LaLouche. "Holy $#$%, that was beautiful. What'd I do?"
  17. Go! If others are there, great. If no one shows, you can stilll fish, right?
  18. Please pardon me if my question is naive, I am very new to all of this. You wondered if anyone had aged those two fish. Is there an anecdotal way to age a bass or does it need to be done "scientifically"? Thank you in advance.

  20. OK, so not exactly a hawg that you usually see on this forum but, for me it is a pretty good fish. I am quite proud and thought I would share.
