Glenn has it pegged. I also have a Nitro and believe this may be something in the hull design, it took a bit to find the sweet spot and would porpoise like heck. I also added a hydrofoil which completely took away the porpoise problem unless the water is pretty rough. I have a 2004 700 DX with a 90Hp so maybe my problem is a bit less. Did that two years ago with soft plastics and jigs this year. I use to fish Crankbaits 90% of the time. I think I threw a crankbait no more then 1 hour this year. I have to say my production and size of fish went way up.

X2 This has also happened to me numerous times. It may not have been an attrative but I am convinced it produced more of a strike to feel, possibly the bass liked the taste more. If nothing else it sure provides confidence. Give it a try!

Nope the missed Field Goals blew the Steelers chances of winning. Marching down the field kicking the winning Field Goal with 20 secoinds left and recovering a fumble on the kickoff is what won the game. No matter if two field gioals are missed with the score tied there is no win until someone else scores. At best it is a tied score, a win is a win, I am sure any team would take one.

Ed, I went out Saturday morning at Mazonia Strip Pits. Was on the water at 5:30 AM as a morning bite has been great and dies down at aboiut 9:00-10:00 AM. This Saturday that changed. Nothing until after 9:00 AM. This is typical of fall for these lakes, a b it early this year but typical. I am sure this is characteristic of the pits you fish as they are in the same area.

I believe that the other teams are keying on Forte, they do not want him to have another year like last year. When Peterson was in he did while but of course Lovie will aleays stay the course. Every 3rd and long play it seems last a running play, go figure.

After last weeks lost to the dreaded Pack Attack it was sweet to see them beat the SB Steelers in a good game. DA BEARS! ;D

Yes I would call this a Perch Rig. Fished for perch off the shore on Lake Michigan as a child for perch using 12 foot bamboo poles with this rig. The old timers taught this to me so I would assume this dates back to maybe the 1940's or 50's maybe earlier. I believe South Bend made one which was somewhat spring loaded. If you ever fished perch you would know a light bite, these were highly sensitive. I have no idea the origins but this was popular here in Chicago and NW Indiana. I learned to adopt for crappie and bluegill.

I will be going the 1st week of October. Is there a possibility the lakes may be turning over? If so are there some that might not be affected?

One might be insulated and the other non-insulated. I have an insulated set. great for early winter and late winter. I ice fish and use it at the beginning of the season. Great gear especially on sale.
