  1. Yes I think it is the rattles. I used Aruka Shads in the past. I had one that was hot but the pattern chipped off banging into rocks. Bought an identical but did not work. I save that particular lure for a certain area on a certain lake where it produces. Found the new one did work at other lakes though just not as good. By the way this lake is Braidwood which has a feature in this months BASS magazine.
  2. I would try Shad imitators, Rattle Traps or Shad Raps.
  3. That is huge, might be a state record in some states. Probabaly close in MD.
  4. No not unusual based on what you bought. I bought a 70 lb Minn Kota from them and had it in three days. I bought an Otter Two Man Shanty and it took at week for it to hit my card and ship. The Otter shipped direct from the factory and the Minn Kota from Reeds. This may be the difference. Just check with them they are very responsive.
  5. Seems small, I use that size on an ice fishing panfish rod. I did land a 5 lb catfish a couple of weekends ago but I would not use that in a Bass application, must be a misprint.
  6. I would rip a Rattle Trap through it. I get the opportunity to fish weedy lakes up North and experienced unbelievable strkes ripping a trap free of weeds.

  13. Something just is not right, I changed the color four times. I must be going batty. Come on April. :-/ :-X
  14. Ice Fishing for Bass can be quite the chore. Bass really slow down. A shiner on a tip up might work. You need to find the weeds they will hold there but will not be real active. I have caught more bass jigging for Blue Gills which is a blast on a UL panfish ice rod. Sometimes just a small jig tipped with spikes or bee moths will do the trick. Good luck
  15. Not having that problem but of course I am sitting on a bucket jigging in an 8 inch hole. Give that a try but dress warm.
  16. As thick as my wife lets it be. On a good day about 1 inch, she has all the credit cards I use only what is needed. If I was not married I would not have to work.
  17. I hate you right now. and to think that i thought Miller Lite and Skoal was a combo perfect for my evening! Bud Light and Skoal for me. Maybe a little Crown Royal for good measure.
  18. That's just not right, the minute I discover this the phone starts ringing.
  19. I can get permission only if I have someone to go with, let me know I am in Frankfort, just south of Tinley Park, originally for the South Side so I am a Sox fan. Have a boat and willing to travel.
  20. Wow, he might be alone for another six months, or maybe not.
  21. EXCELLENT, Rock On.
  22. Just ice, Rivers are open but never fish the rivers in the winter. You will need to drill holes, lakes on the north end where you will be at have about 10-12 inches of ice. South 6-8 inches. We are ice fishing now.
  23. Moth Balls, been using them for the last 4 years and they seem to work.
