Yes. I caught a 6.5 pounder yesterday, weighed on a certified weigh-in scale and it wasnt near that big. You might need a new scale.

Speaking of injuries, surgeries and Hawaii, it reminds me of when my grandparents went on vacation there 5-6 years ago. They saved their pennies for a LONG time to fund the trip and it was the only place left on their list that they wanted to go. We took them to the airport and they were really, really excited to finally be making the trip. Well, they arrived in Hawaii, checked into their hotel, then left to go out and see the sights. Leaving the hotel, my grandad stepped awkwardly off the curb and shattered his ankle. With grandad being diabetic, his doctor looked at the X Rays and said he had to immediately return home to have reconstructive surgery on the ankle. They had been in Hawaii a grand total of 90 minutes when he broke it. I felt so sorry for them and grandad was in a cast for 3 months after his surgery. They still plan to go back one day. I hope your trip goes a lot better than theirs did. Be safe.

I've got an original extra heavy duty Gambler cover. I am looking for something like a carport to park the boat under and I'm not finding a whole lot of options just yet. Apparently the guy who built the standard metal frame/aluminum roof carport has some kind of monopoly going. Every place I have called gets them from the same dude in Texas and all are within $25 bucks of each other. And this really burns me up. I can get a 18'wide x 21'deep x 9'tall for $700. They want $300 more for a SMALLER carport. 12w x 26d x 7t. What gives? :-?

We've just moved into a new house and I have a spot for my boat, down the side of the house in between my fence and my mothers fence. I would like to get a car-port type deal to park it under but I'm looking at about a grand for one of those. I have a regular Gambler boat cover but I'd like something else to keep the rain and snow off the cover. The space in between the two fences is only 15 ft wide so the carport or whatever needs to be either 12' or 14' and my boat on the trailer is right around 26' long. Anybody have any suggestions other than a steel carport?

Grass. My home lake has very little grass. Some of the other lakes we fish in the state have grass and I really like fishing those lakes. My home lake does kind of cater to a crankbait though so I can't complain too much.

I'm a big Matt Hamill fan. I didnt get to see his fight this past weekend, did he try to wrestle at all? He seems hung up on wanting to stay on the feet the whole fight, trying to get that highlight reel knockout. Thats not what he's about. He made it because of his pure wrestling skills, strength and work ethic. I'd like to see him on the floor a little more. But what do I know? He keeps winning.....

Mir vs. Lesnar has been moved back. Mir had knee surgery recently (I think it was a clean-out type surgery). Rampage will fight Rashad before Mir and Lesnar goes down.

I just bought the Gander Guide Series last week, bibs and parka. Paid $225 for the set. Very comfortable get-up. Cant wait for it to rain....
