  7. Wow, that looks awesome Dave!
  8. If its done right, the fish dont have to 'crash down' into the boat. You have tension on the fish and you can swing them in without the hard landing. I swing any fish I can. But I dont let them flop around for any length of time. I get them off the carpet asap. Regardless, the excessive flopping and carpet culling shouldn't be a part of any TV broadcast....like someone said, it sends the wrong message to the younger folks.

  13. I agree. I'd really like to see him win this thing.
  14. Burley didnt have his drag set properly and a 10" dink was burning line off his reel, now he's mad at Pflueger in general.
  15. I got another boardmember here to pick me up a box full when they were on sale a couple years ago at Academy, since we dont have one here. I have no problems with them and catch plenty of fish on them....especially the crank. And unlike other 'cheap' lures, I didnt see an immediate need to switch out the trebles which is a plus.
  16. Hey, would you get some autographs for RW while you're standing around with them guys? Good pics fellas!
  17. Yeah, you can thread a crankbait through the thickest cover if you stop reeling when you hit something. In thick cover it's more like a slow speed crash. You're walking it through the brush. Crashing a crankbait is effective also but more so on isolated limbs, standing trees, dock posts, etc....just reel it fast and smack it into whatever you can, that causes the big deflection that you're looking for.

I've got enough plastics for several people for several years but if I see a 'deal', I'm buying, no questions asked. And a lot of times it doesn't even have to qualify as a 'deal'. It just happens. Gander Mtn happened twice in the past 5 days. Friday I was in there as they were dumping fresh stuff into the 6 huge clearance bins. I didnt need any of it but ended up at the cash register with a bucket full of stuff. Went back yesterday to see if I had missed any of the Sworming Hornet heads and ended up with another bucket full at the register, with no more Hornet heads in it.
