  1. Good deal man, getting a check is what its all about!
  2. The LC CBD-20 is a killer deep crank and the Mann's 20+ are the two I use when I need to hit 20 consistently. My other favorites are Rapala DT16,DD22 and Hot Lips. The Megabass Deep X-200 is good for about 15-16'.
  3. Welcome!
  4. Thats a good bag! Congratulations.....I bet the 2nd place guys thought they had everybody covered! ;D
  5. Atta boy Ben!! Way to represent!!
  6. Thats a good enough reason for me.....to NOT buy that one. The hooks are just 25 packs.....they look like 50's in the pic. That should be enough until next season anyway. On a side note, I did defend myself well against the monkey, originally he had put a Humminbird 797C2 SI FF/GPS in my basket! Whew! That was a close one! He was really into the side imaging technology on that 797.
  7. Well,he jumped me again at BPS in Charlotte and gave my wallet a severe beating. I was doing great on my own until I walked past the electronics counter and I could hear something stalking me,breathing real heavy......so I just kept walking as if I didnt hear a thing......then BAM! I suddenly had a new Lowrance FF/GPS in my basket along with a few other things that I didnt really need.
  8. Which is the better buy? What are the significant differences between the two?
  9. I'm a little late getting in....what needs to be bought that hasnt been bought already? Let me know and I'll get it. avid, sent cell # via pm
  10. Get the Revo...you WILL NOT be disappointed.
  11. Especially in the late winter/spring,whenever you have a tournament,a cold front will come in and you can bet on it! I always prepare for a spring tournament as if I'm going to be fishing a cold front, even if the weather says otherwise. If the weather ends up stable, its easier to get back in the groove of normalcy than it is to be caught unprepared for a front.
  12. Stop by whenever you can!

I like BREEN....its the best of both worlds. I wish more soft bait makers would pick up on this color.

  15. They are usually a little higher than the regular Pointers but if you snoop around here and there, you can find them for 13-14 bucks.
  16. The Slenders have a more erratic side-to-side action than the regular Pointers.....its a TRUE reaction bait and there's no need in deadsticking one, keep it MOVING,the erratic darting and rolling action drives 'em crazy.

Flippin' cover 1- Jig 2- Sweet Beaver (4.20) 3- Berkley Beast 4- Berkley Power Hawg 5- Yamamoto Kreature Deep brush 1- Jig 2- Carolina Rig Senko 3- Zoom Brush Hog 4- Zoom Super Hog 5- Texas Rig 10" Power worm
  18. I use 10# mono and a composite rod with the CB350's. I wouldnt even consider anything more than 12# mono for the 350's......and I'd only use the 12# if I didnt have any 10# close by.
  19. I've got quite a few Slender's myself. I probably dont throw them as much as I should but I do like the action they have....and the extra set of hooks!
  20. KU is correct. The G Blanks are either Rainshadow or Shikari blanks, whatever he buys at the time. Most of the G Rods that you'll get now will be Rainshadow RX7's. Shikari blanks are hard to get now that they got bought out. And as someone mentioned above, they are excellent rods for the money and the customer service is second to NONE.

    .....you got that right!
  22. (The majority of the "pros", aren't.) rw .....and the reason for this is ---(RW,fill in the blank)-->.................................................
  23. Any Strike King 3X worm will float.....and float well.
  24. Although no tuning is required, thats not a legit enough reason alone for ME to buy them, but it is a factor. I also buy them because I like the actions of most all of the LC cranks, the paint jobs are slick and from what I've seen, hold up very well. The way they are designed also plays a big part in casting distances which means a whole lot when cranking. They also emit totally different sounds than most other cranks because LC cranks with rattles are brass, glass or tungsten and sometimes a combination, depending on the bait. The LC Flat CBD-20 is an outstanding deep crank and although I may cringe when I bounce off something or hang one up, I still throw them ALOT! Sure, I've lost a few but the fish I catch with them outweighs that $15 bucks. Plus, another thing that I believe makes them a little better than others is that not everybody owns them and lots of people think just like you about the LC cranks......"I'm not dragging $15 bucks along the bottom" and the fish just dont see them as much as, say a Rapala DT16 or a DD22. That theory may not hold water in the scientific world but I believe it and I have a ton of confidence in the LC cranks.
  25. Happy belated Birthday muddy!
