  1. Awesome! I can see a couple or three of those on my horizon.
  2. Thats another big loss for the NASCAR family. He'll definitely be missed. RIP B.P.
  3. I hear you Russ.....gotta root for the home team, cant blame you there. I just hate that Brady and Belichick have everybody's # in the playoffs.....and they'll beat the Colts like always. Brady is what 12-1 on the playoffs now? Thats unreal. Peyton didnt look too good yesterday,he threw lots of BAD passes and NE knows how to take him out of the equation. Sad but true.
  4. Well, Brady and Co. pulled another one out of the bag. > The Chargers seemingly just gave up on New Englands last drive when they scored that last TD and then made the 2 point conversion to tie it up. I was really hoping San Diego could knock NE out of it,I'm sick of seeing them in the playoffs. Now we gotta watch NE take out Indy next week in the AFC Championship. : GO BEARS! (sorry Glenn)
  5. Anybody used these yet? How do they feel? What are the pro's and con's? Do you recommend them?
  6. Here's my tackle box......and it floats! I keep bulk plastics and some extra rods in the house.
  7. In a tournament : jig Just fishing : crankbait of course
  8. Hackney or Ike
  9. Shoot,I'd eat a brick if you put peanut butter and jelly on it! ;D
  10. Nothing is wrong, actually something great happened,it just happened to knock me out of being able to go to Fork with you guys. Like I said, bittersweet. Thanks for asking though,I appreciate it. I am expecting one or more of you Fork attendees to catch a 10 pounder and the rest of you guys have to take lots of pictures.
  11. What's up with that??? :-[ Full story in our mod forum......all I can say is bittersweet.
  12. I like them in the early morning when they wont hit a topwater bait and also around laydowns.
  13. Anybody need a room for the Fork trip at The Fisherman's Cove Marina where LBH and the crew is staying? I'm about to cancel my reservation. If you need a room, shoot me a pm. I'll be calling them Monday.
  14. Your patronization of the bannerization advertisation sure does help the BassResource Organization information station. So to the satis-fi-cation of the bait monkey-i-zation,all proceedications create great appreciation from the BassResource.com administration. Carry on.
  15. Oh yes.....sometimes they just dont cooperate no matter what you do or where you fish.
  16. In my experiences,I have found that secondary points are better in the spring and fall but main lake points RULE in the summertime. This goes for largemouth and smallmouth. Good topic RW.
  17. I like the split grip rods for any bait I bump along the bottom or baits that have a tendency to get bit on the drop. I dont feel like they are necessary on jerkbait, spinnerbait or crankin' rods, but thats just my opinion. I just wish my Helium LTA flippin rod had the split grip. All my G-Blanks are split grip and of course the Kistler Mags.
  18. Really? Bragging? :-?
  19. This is only his second day.
  20. I fish a carolina rig with a MH rod. I like just a little tip to be able to make longer casts and to make up for the more limber rod I use braided line. It really helps when you set the hook a long way from the boat.
  21. In my opinion, the better angler would be one who excels at trophy hunting and tournament fishing at the same time. Both take excellent skill to succeed. This is a really difficult subject to present a winning argument. Nobody is totally wrong, nobody is totally right.
  22. I think it's too close to call. Doesnt matter much,AFC is winning the Super Bowl.
  23. I can flip/pitch with both but I am most accurate with my right.
  24. We've all caught fish shallow in cold water, its no secret that they move back and forth throughout the day. In a warm discharge lake things are different as you say. I'm talking about regular lakes that have drastically changing water temps throughout all 4 seasons. (summer-high 80's,winter-high 30's)......the length of daylight has an effect on the fish...its a sign that seasons are changing. If its still 25 degrees during the day in March, the water isnt warming much,if at all,but the length of daylight is still getting longer.
