Treble hooks rarely ever penetrate all the way THROUGH the fishes mouth and out the other side like say a worm hook. Most trebles get stuck in the roof of the mouth or in the soft skin in the corner of the mouth. If you have a rod with too much backbone and the fish thrashes its head or makes a last ditch run at the boat,the trebles will rip right out. It is of the utmost importance to keep tension on a treble hooked fish at all times and the softer rod helps this tremendously. I use a 6'6" medium action rod and 8-10# mono.

Craw, is that a shad rap I see? Sure looks like one.....aint no largemouth around that can resist a shad rap. ;D Didnt you say you needed a fishing partner this Sunday? Aint much happenin' down this way unless you're into jigging spoons up and down.

Thats exactly right...a fish doesnt check to see whether you have expensive gear or not.It is nice to fish with though and the price guide looks good RW.

.....you really dont have to be "grown up" to catch fish do you? I can see "growing up" a little to carry himself more like a professional but we're talking about the best present angler,not the best present professional acting guy. This is about catching fish and Ike can definitely catch some fish.....as can KVD,Clunn etc.... Ike just won AOY in the Elite Series,the toughest trail,the trail most dream of fishing,only the top bass anglers in the world fish the Elite Series and Ike was the best of them all this year. Best present angler? My vote is for Ike.

Yeah,me too but swimming it is totally different than just letting it lay and shakin' it.....hence "shaky head". I like the spot removers around docks and such but I can go thru a whole pack on a long stretch of rip rap. Looks like I'm going to need a football type head.....the actual football head jigs I use are great in rocks,I may lose the stand-up quality however. Some 3X finesse worms will help that.

Keep 'em coming,lots of good suggestions so far. I have been eyeing the Bite Me heads and mainly any head that has the screw. The spot remover pro models look interesting but I fish alot of rocks and that stand up style just hangs way too much for me.

Just curious what everyone uses for their shaky head rigs. I have been using Spot Removers and the Robo Zippers alot but am looking for a head that may be a little less snaggy than the Spot Remover.

CroCop will shake things up for sure. I hope he does take out Sylvia,his fights are painfully boring anymore.

In my opinion,Rapala lures are the best value lures around.Even at $6 - $7 each is a steal. They could easily be sold for more.

Tito landed quite a few hard shots to Chuck's face last night and it didnt affect Chuck at all.You could see the lumps on Chuck's face after the fight but when he got hit,it seemed like he didnt feel them.....thats why he's the Champ. I thought Tito did a whale of a job even though he lost. I think Chuck has to fight Rampage Jackson next.....he's beaten Chuck before.

Well,its over folks. Chuck took it to Tito again......Tito brought his A game,took some big punches and really showed alot of heart but he couldnt get Chuck to the ground and was forced to slug it out.....and that didnt go so well. Chuck knocked him down and started pounding on him,the ref had to stop it. In the other main fight,Keith Jardine tko'd Forest Griffin,pretty much the same way the Chuck/Tito fight went down. That really surprised me because of the way Griffin took it to Tito in their last fight. (Many thought Griffin won that one,including me)

You just dont get it because I didnt say my Fritts reels were broken or I forsee them breaking. ;D The Fritts reels that I have are great and I can crank huge crankbaits all day,day in,day out with no problems and I can probably cast farther with my Fritts. Moral of the story: I usually wont fix something that isnt broke.

hmmmmm.......I wonder why its never mentioned? :-? I dont know many good fisherman that will give up such hot spots. I would definitely be checking that out.
