once I unlocked the keys to jig fishing I rarely use worms much anymore. Most of the ones I use are 10.5" in the summer. The rest of the time it is just to try and get rid of them. I agree with Roadwarriors statement take it slow. Power fishing is a #'s game, slow fishing is a quality game.

I would invest it and make a few more bucks off the 5k then buy me a new boat.

I like cabelas better. I like their service better and they sell stuff in bulk pricing like Rapala. Another reason is I dont have to pay tax and shipping at cabelas. So muddyman you can buy bulk for me. ;D To be completely honest I dont order much from either one. I can usually find it cheaper somewhere else. They also dont have custom hand pours.

If I see lightning I call it quits. No bass is worth getting struck by lightning

I have a real hard time catching fish in still calm water especially on clear days and this time of year. I prefer about 10 mph. 15 is good then when you get 20 it starts getting to me. 25 well I start to get mad. 30 nope no thanks. My boats not big enough to handle those real big waves.

2-3 lbs = good fish 3-4 lbs = thats what I'm talking about 4-5 lbs = Oh baby 5 lbs -6lbs = OMG thats a good one. 6+ is when you do the white guy dance in the boat

Yeah I have a warning system in my boat. It start to get my feet wet. ;D J/K all of us have little mishaps. If someone says no its a lie. If I listed them all I would bog down the internet.

Gee they must pick on me. I've been checked in 3 states. TX, MO, and MI. I guess I'm just one of those lucky people that always gets checked. Good thing I dont break the regulations. Some of the places I fish I see the same. One of the good things is the ownership has changed hands and he has cleaned house. I dont see near the problems or issues as I did. Alot less boat traffic too.

Your not the only one, I pull them out of the livewell and get out the fillet knife. Then the work begins. I go for freshness over humane. Like Jim said, those commercial fillet machines just basically clean the fish in a few seconds its still flopping around. IMO anything you eat will have to be killed plant or animal. humane is not something that should really be thought about because there is no humane way its all an individual interpretation.
