  1. I cant comment on Fenwick either but Croix's are one great spinning rod.
  2. Happy 40th. I hope that pinched nerve heals quick!!!
  3. I use 10 or 15 flouro
  4. Ditto. Out of what you listed I'd probably throw the EWG.
  5. What will you be using it for and what bait?
  6. Pretty much what I was thinking Raul. I've been on both ends of this. I was once given specific baits to throw and gps coordinates. I caught 0 fish on all of the coordinates. Then I've done the same for people and the same has happened. For sharing info I feel I'm pretty helpful and try to help. I think a lot of it comes down to how they ask me. If they are in need of help I'm willing. I just like to see people catch fish.
  7. This is strictly my opinion, but if your swimming above grass or shallow weed lines say 8 fow or less I'd go 1/4. If your fishing deeper weed lines I'd go the 3/8. I'm with Kickerfish though. I'd have at least a couple of each size due to the rate of fall and activity of the fish.
  8. TCBass I went through a bunch of my orders that had swim jigs in them and looked at all the ones for northern states. Its almost exactly a 50/50 split on 1/4 vs 3/8. Many of the orders had both 1/4 and 3/8 in them. The biggest selling colors for those northern states were Bluegill Bloody Shad Fogy Bluegill Flash Black blue Chartreuse shad Blue Craw
  9. For me 3/8 is by far the biggest seller. I sell more 3/8 then all other sizes combined. For the trailer I'd use a Menace.
  10. Jigs, shaky head, t rigs, c rigs are what I mostly use.
  11. This is what I punch with since this year. Its a Rage Structure bug and one of my punch rigs along with an Owner CPS Twistlock flipping hook. Its about the only thing I punch with anymore. Sometimes I will drop the punch skirt and just use a flipping tungsten weight. For me I've found shorter baits with sleek profiles punch better then say a real bulky bait or long worms wiith ribbon tails.
  12. I've got two for this year. I'd say 99% of my fish have come off of them. Rage Menace with and Extreme Shaky head 1/4 oz Big O Brush jig 1/2oz blue bug with a rage blue bug craw.
  13. I've caught cats on just about all the lures I throw. Lately they have been smashing my crankbaits. Around here when they start the spawn they seem to hit these types of baits well. Then it usually goes back to the normal bit of worms and liver.
  14. Nice video. My favorites are LC sammy or spook type baits or frogs. Those are about the only two topwaters I throw.
  15. Unlike Jigman I tie all of my jigs with the weedgaurds already glued in. I offer a few different styles of footballs from Mustad hooks up to Owner XXX strong hooks.
  16. Hopefully I'll be in your shoes in about 2-3 yrs. Congrats on the new fishing buddy!!
  17. Be careful using old worms, sometimes there is water still in them especially salted worms and it will pop hot plastic. I've done this a few times and I do not like melting down used worms. One can do it but something I just do not like doing.
  18. Its not too far from me, but I do not have a small enough motor to fish it. I've never heard anyone catching smallies there but that doesn't mean they are not in the lake. Its suppose to be a pretty good lake. I know a lot of guys hit it in feb and march since the water is in the 50's then.
  19. Awesome!! That is some great catching.
  20. Nice one!!
  21. I will typically throw a 1/2-3/4 oz for ledges. Anything over about 15 fow I throw the 3/4 almost all the time. The colors I throw are typically black blue, bama craw, or pbj.
  22. In all honesty if your looking to build your own I would go this way. Buy the finished head and then some skirt material.
  23. Quantity will depend on what I make up. Min would be 4. I wont short change anyone.
