  1. I always get to caught up in the moment and forget to take pictures. I need to work on this. One of my favorite pics is a large tournament taken from the ramp as daylight begins to break. I just think it is the coolest thing all the little lights dancing on the water just before we all blast off. Being an IT guy you would think I could figure out how to get these pics to fit within the size limit to post. When I get time I will try and figure this out again. I also have a ugliest fish pic I would like to post as well.
  2. Awesome pictures everyone! Thanks for sharing!
  3. Does anyone know what those sores are. Will they eventually kill the fish?
  4. I have tried all kinds. Wasted alot of money and thrown many in the trash. BPS floro works best for me.
  5. Welcome to BR Stacie!
  6. Welcome to BR Larry!
  7. I used to use snaps. Now, I just direct tie everything.
  8. I, like most of you have taken the shot and become sicker than a dog soon after. The wife thinks I am nuts with my theory. The nurses who give me the shot tell me I am nuts. "it's a dead virus" With all that said....with a little one in the house. I will get the shot. Better for me to be sick than him.
  9. Congrats Robby. I have not been around that long at all. One thing that I have picked up on though is that the way you and TIn carry on maybe you two should just elope and skip the formalities. Just kidding you two crack me up carrying on all the time. ;D
  10. Welcome to BR. Great to have another Va guy.
  11. Awesome. I agree you should probably go back and try the tables now. And if all else fails then there is the GC again!
  12. I had 3 goals for this year....... 1. Get my 4 year old out more. Done. 2. Learn the dropshot. Spent alot of time fooling with it. Little to limited success 3. Qualify for the fishoff. 4 points back 1 tourney left to go. Admittedly, I am at my best when the water warms July-Sept and the fish go deep into the brushpiles. I love to bounce that worm through the brush! I had a good spring and thought this was going to be easy. Water never really warmed and the fish never really went deep. I wasted alot of time and fell on my face a couple times for fish that never showed up this year. Goals for next year..... 1. Get the 5 year old out even more 2. Better concentration!!! 3. Greater percentage of those hooked actually into the boat!!! This has hurt quite a bit this year too.
  13. Late February - November average 2 tournaments per month. Outside of that 1 maybe 2 fun fishing trips per month.
  14. -prayers sent- Hope you are both back on the water soon.
  15. FBL was whipping my butt last year with a jig. I did this last fall. I had never had much success at all with a jig. So, 2 rods on deck.....both with jigs. Did this for 6-8 trips. Caught quite a few fish and developed the confidence I lacked in them. Now a jig is one of my top 5 confidence baits and I always have one on deck.
  16. Man, I do not like spiders! Especially poisonous ones! I live in a neighborhood but it is kind of out in the country. Every fall I fight the stink bug war. Thousands every fall descend upon my house. I had to screen in underneath my screened in porch. Used ten tubes of caulk. They can crawl through the smallest crack or opening. You cannot open a window, leave the garage door open. You have to be quick in/out doors. Just got back from vacation. Everything was closed tight for a week. Still had dozens in the house. Saturday I emptied a 16 gallon shop vac that was full of stink bugs. I have to shop vac 20-30 minutes a day. The cover has been on my boat for 7 days now....I can't wait to see how many hundreds are in there! Came in from yard work the other night. The wife had fixed dinner. I sat down and was talking to my son. Yup, you probably guessed it and I can tell you they taste as bad as they smell. I have become slightly crazy over this war with them. I have fought the good fight but alas I have been defeated by the stink bug. Time to call the exterminator. If I had to choose though I would take stink bugs over poisonous spiders. I hope you can rid yourself of them. Ant Bea call the man!
  17. I wear Oakley square wire 2.0's I have 2 pair. Fathom blue and grey. I went away from plastic lenses a couple years back. Reason why is that after a couple years the plastic degraded and the frames cracked. No matter how careful you were with them. About 220.00 a pop and IMO worth every penny!
  18. X2! Most critters whether they swim, walk, or fly become accustomed to their surroundings. A bass living on a lake with high boat traffic isn't going to be much more affected than the deer that live right on the runways at the Detroit airport. Absolutely true! If this were not the case Bass on SML would never bite. They get beat to death 250 days a year.
  19. Welcome to BR Mark.
  20. I don't know, but my sister thinks you're an *** and one of Burley's goats is walking funny... ROFLMAO!!!!! X2 Someone in the office actually came over wanting to know what I was laughing at so hard. That is funny stuff. Great comeback too Robby!
  21. Welcome to BR! Always great to have another Virginian. Lake Country is in region 2 isnt it?
