  1. Where are they ripped? Try using them Wacky style. You can also repair them with both types of glue mentioned. I use superglue as we buy in bulk at work and I get it for next to nothing.
  2. A rain suit. Fish don't care if they get wet. ;D Rain might help you as it will diminish visibility but that means you won't be able to see as well either. Drag a tube around known spawning areas and see what happens.
  3. Yes they feed all year. I do quite a bit of ice fishing up here in the winter months and set tip-ups for pike but I have had days where I couldn't keep the dang bass off the hooks. Biggest thru the ice was a tad over 6. She was fatter than me.
  4. Pretty soon we are going to hear Al Gore railing about Global Wetting!

I stay late quite often and leave early at times to watch my son's ballgames, go to the doctor, etc. I also work an occasional Saturday when needed. My boss is the Pres. and he's pretty cool. He usually gives me an xtra vac. day if I work a Sat. It all evens out though there are some that abuse the coming late and leaving early part.
  6. Unless you are doing something illegal or getting paid under the table, you do get re-imbursed by your employer. At least in good old corrupt Illinois. California might be different. It is in alot of ways. I served and when no one wanted to be foreman, I volunteered. I got to say "your Honor, we the jury, find the defendant guilty" I was nervous as hell when I said it but I actually felt like the process worked.
  7. I used to only skip tubes under docks and boats until I tried 5" senko style baits. 4lber on first skip. Now that's about all I throw around and under docks and boats unless I'm hitting ones I've already fished without a bite. Then the tube comes out.
  8. Yo Leo- USE SPELLCHECK. ;D ;D And don't forget to watch the Cubbies smoke the Sox this week. Wait, wrong spot for that.
  9. Nope, give 'em a try. 8-) X2 If you don't care for them it's definitely your loss. If you do not like reading about them, move to another topic. They catch fish and that's what this forum is about. Helping each other become better fisherman. If people lied and said they didn't catch fish would you feel better? 8-)
  10. 6" Tournament Worm is a staple and the paddle tail design has been copied by just about every other manufacturer. Either that or they copied everyone else. They've been around forever.

JJ's rules! Just don't spill it or use it within 100 feet of your house. Used to use Spike-It until I tried JJ's and my lure and my hands still smelled like an Italian restaurant a week later.
  12. Spongebob is the only strange thing you noticed? You find a fat, talking starfish and a "meowing" snail to be normal? ;D Your right, that is one messed up movie. ;D Your right, that's just the tip of the ice berg. The meowing snail is pretty creepy, or what about the squirrel with the divers helmet. Come on now, have you ever tried holding a squirrel under water :-? Whats' really messed up is that you guys actually went and watched that movie! I hope you at least took the kids. ;D I love horror/slasher flicks so none of them really bother me. Remember-it's only a movie! The one that I can't get out of my head is "Night and Day" which is a documentary of the concentration camps during the holocaust that we watched in High school in film study class. I get nightmares whenever I think about that one. Nothing Rob Zombie could dream up could ever outdo what actually went on there.
  13. Youvella makes hooks just as you describe. Bending could weaken hook. http://www.***.com/terminalbrand.html?ccode=YOU
  14. X2 Not a Gammie as all of their EWG hoos have the point inline with the eye. http://www.***.com/terminalbrand.html?ccode=GAMAKATSU
  15. I agree with Matt. Some of the pictures calling fish 10's are obviously not. If I use them as a gage, I've caught a couple of 10's. Take it with a grain of salt . After all, we're all fisherman here and fibbing is in our blood. Hey Cart- Are those catfish fillets? You're making me hungry and it's 7:30 A.M.
  16. Being a veteran, my condolences. To quote Rodney Dangerfield, "it ain't all moonlight and canoes - that's in the movies". Enjoy it now and a good rule of thumb. Wait at least a week before leaving her at home and going fishing!
  17. If you are referring to Bradley, what's he up to now? .240?
  18. No question Bradley is a moron but last I looked the team he plays for is just 2 games behind the Cards and I think LaRussa has enough of his own problems to figure out the way they've been playing lately. Was a sin letting DeRosa go.
  19. Glen- I was wondering when you were going to hit back. You didn't let me down. Still laughing! Ever thought of hitting the open mike night at the local comedy club? Might be a future there for you. Careful though. First item on your list might get you banished.
  20. X2 I've been using the Scumfrog Popper for years and have no problems hooking fish. I think the Spro's have a poorer hookup ratio than the Scumfrogs. Their bodies are too hard. They do cast well though. Trophy Scumfrog is great but in the thickest stuff like bullrushes and tules, it's a little too soft and tends to get hung. I Love Snagproofs Bobby's Perfect for the real thick stuff.

Good one Roger! And on a spinning outfit. You couldn't have picked a better place to live. I'm jealous. :-[
  22. X2 Love the Ochos. Great action and texture to the bait.
  23. Pretty easy if you marry a chick with money!!
  24. Dinks?? That was nice of CJ to let you hold his fish. I thought that fish looked familiar.
