  1. Stick with the X-Rap. Great bait and actually reasonable compared to some others.
  2. For bass I had a day some years ago fishing a Super Spot in the chartreuse/white G-Finish (If anyone remembers that) where I caught 14 straight over a windblown grass point. All identical 15 inchers. Thought I was in heaven. If you count panfish I have honestly caught probably 50-75 straight from a minefield (what I call a group of beds).

It comes in a clamshell pack so if it's not stapled shut, open one up and smell it. You'll live. It's not as bad as JJ's. Might have a slight garlic scent but should be more fishy. Don't forget about the Yamamoto stuff which should be right next to it. There could be a date code on the package or tube somewhere also. So, am to understand that if it isn't displayed in the clam-shell packaging, it's not the "new" formula? Is there a better way to tell? I'd like to try the new formula only, as I have a couple of tubes of the original already. Also, isn't Megastrike a Yamamoto product? Above it says, "Don't forgaet about the Yamamoto stuff which should be right next to it." Now I'm confused! As far as I know they are all in a Clamshell package. According to Bobby, the product labeled Yamamoto was made for use in Japan. It is more of a Crawfish scent. At the dick's by me they were right next to eachother on the display rack.

I think there was a tube in your gift bag. I'll send you another with the bluegill. I'll try to get them out tomorrow. 8-) Hey Kent- You can send me some. That will make up for me sending Wayne some of the Yamamoto stuff. If you can send me a Mattlures Bluegill also, I'll be your best friend for life!!!!
  5. Hey I'm 27 years old and I'm already looking for a hat like that. My baseball caps are just to hot in the hot humid summer months here. My late grandmother used to work out in the yard allot and she sported a wide collection of them. I guess when I get one I have to make sure it's in manly camo color. That's a better idea than Mike knocking down an old lady and taking hers. You beat me to it Cart. I was thinking of the old gal from Hee-Haw. Were you going for the "Indiana Mike" look?
  6. For 3 days after you're off the water it's still with you!
  7. Agree, but was just saying that the action on these is indeed incredible. Nothing is as good as the original, but I would gladly stock up on these in a heartbeat if Wally would actually carry some semblance of colors. Now let the trash fly :-X X2 If the action is as good as advertised, why not try them? Sometimes with a Senko, just setting the hook and missing ruins the bait. No doubt Senkos have the best, if not very close to the best action of this type bait. "Knock Off" sounds like a negative term. My wife has a "Knock Off" Coach purse that has served her well for 4 years now. Her friend had an original for 6 months before it fell apart. Maybe not the best analogy but you get my point.
  8. Are these a Walmart exclusive? I googled them and all I got was lead back here. Not even in Strike Kings catalog. I'd like to give them a shot also but was at my local Walmart a few days ago and nada.
  9. The Rage Tail baits are absolutely worthless. Send them to me immediately! ;D ;D Seriously, Big-O gave us an excellent clinic on rigging the newer line at the roadtrip which could be available somewhere in the archives. Glenn? I think you can get tips off the website also and probably from YouTube. Welcome aboard!! Another member of the growing Rage Tail army.
  10. I hope you're kidding about the B**** remark. That is my wife you're talking about. Besides, have you ever opened a bottle of JJ's in the house. Terrible mistake! One of the mods (Who shall remain nameless) said he uses it as a mother-in-law repellent.
  11. 5" senko style bait. 5-6" finesse worm 4" tube.
  12. Thanks Mr. Pollak. I had to make a bargain with my wife to get away to fish for a few hours yesterday. We had to stop at the mall (thank god there is a Bass Pro) Then I had to take her to lunch. Then we could go up to the cottage and I could fish only if I promised not to uncover the boat but go wading or tubing only. This was fine with me as I had a good hunch the bass would be up on spawning flat right behind the house. Made the mistake of opening a bottle of chartreuse on the back porch. Wife got a whiff immediately and I was given an ultimatum. It goes or I go. I'll miss her. Kidding. Now all my gear has to be stored in the little shed next to the garage. Was worth it though as I got a real hawg. Pics to follow.
  13. Looks like a plan. Maybe we can all meet up at Kelley's. We'll find a way to smuggle Brian with.
  14. \ Burley, you're starting to scare me. First the Cubs hat, now this. Are you a closet Midwesterner?

I feel your pain. I injured my back a few years back and although it is much better, I still cannot stand in one spot, such as while fishing, for more than about 30 minutes. I simply sit down for a while.
  16. Great fish. Well deserved. We thank you for all you have done for us all. Kudos to Big-O for taking him out. You are both heroes in my book.
  17. A Stud or Numbers? Looking at the question my first thought was is this about my pre-marriage dating days? Anyway as I have never caught a 9+ bass but have plenty 4-5 lb. I would have to say #2. Both would be Utopia!
  18. Thanks. Will have to try that but has anyone experienced hookup issues with this bait? I think I solved the problem by bending the hooks.
  19. From the movie Highlander. "There can be only one" 5" senko type bait.
  20. 1) Fishing 2) Eating 3) Time alone with my wife (if you know what I mean) Not necessarily in that order. Weather might switch 3 with 1
  21. What is the weight limit on that boat. Looks like it has to be pretty close to capacity.
  22. CWB replied to roadwarrior's topic in Fishing Tackle
They only had three left and I snapped 'em all up. How about a trade for that Mattlures Bluegill? P.M. me with your address and I might be persuaded to part with one.
  23. CWB replied to roadwarrior's topic in Fishing Tackle
Honestly I'm surprised you are the only one who caught that so far. Maybe you're just as bad as the rest of us... or worse!
  24. Or Burley. Nice hawg Wayne.
  25. Just curious. Has anyone had hookup issues with this bait? Got 2 of these from TW and when I opened the up, something didn't look quite right. Seemed like the hooks were set too low in the body. I put one in my hand and pulled it out to simulate setting the hook in a bass. Sure enough, I did not feel the hooks and they were embedded in the body. I brought the frogs to work today and bent the hooks upward and now I am certain they will get me more hookups. Can't wait to get these wet. They look killer! Gotta go. On my way to Dick's to buy up whats left of the Yamamoto Megastrike. (another shameless plug)
