  1. I bet if you asked you could get the Government to bankroll you as a sample case study. Hmm....
  2. Don't jump. Life will get better.
  3. Overgrown grass does not make a lake/pond unfishable. It just makes that area fished less. Try a frog over the tops of the grass or jig around the edges and in the holes. Right now maybe try a 4" finesse worm -1/16 oz weight. 4" senko might see more hits than standard 5"
  4. 3/16 oz. is my favorite. Bobby gave me a great tip that makes an already great bait even better. Clean off the paint at the ends of the barbs that hold the bait on in essence sharpening them and the plastics will stay on much better.
  5. Have to agree on the Power Worms. Cut my teeth on Culprits but now it's Power Worms.
  6. X2 2.75-3.0 Looks like a chunk.
  7. Where do you think the government comes up with most of it's hairbrained ideas? Long live Hank Hill! America needs more guys like him.
  8. Mike- Your posts lately have been pretty mild. You should say what's really on your mind! ;D ;D
  9. You guys need to find a wife that will cook for you. More time to fish!

Megastrike Chompers Garlic JJ's magic. I don't throw a jig or soft plastic without scent. You can put Megastrike on your spinnerbaits and hardbaits as it is kind of a paste. They do work.
  11. The noise is due to the braking system which I agree is excellent. It might diminish but won't go away. Fish can't hear it.
  12. You can't go wrong with XL but with big game you can pull stumps out. A tad stiff but put on some KVD L&L and you won't regret it, especially if you latch onto a hog in heavy cover.

Try a Rage Tail Lizard. You will be amazed at the action it has compared to every other lizard out there. A bit thicker body also. T-rig with 1/8 oz weight and throw around shallow cover. Can't go wrong with Green Pumpkin. Dip tail in Chartreuse JJ's Magic and you're set.
  14. Russ- I'm not sure but I think Burley is available. :D I guess now we know why you were smooching those fish in the bedding bass video. Seriously, great job and thanks!
  15. I thought JJ was talking at half speed. ;D
  16. I prefer coffee in the morning and if I'm having Italian, I always use at least some Garlic. The only time I use salt is on French Fries. I think my wife bakes with Anise. I prefer Shrimp over crawfish. ;D Seriously, I do not think scents will ever hurt and could even provoke strikes. Better to use it and not need it than need it and not use it. Fish do smell their prey. I have caught several bass and even pike at night off my dock using dead bait on the bottom while catfishing. Only explanation would be they sniffed out the bait.
  17. Trolling takes tremendous skill. If you just want to drag a lure around, no it doesn't. But if you want to keep your bait on the structure you have to be at least one move or turn ahead. I would suggest looking at these 2 sites and possibly ordering some material. Mr. Perry is widely recognized as the father of structure fishing and even if you don't troll, you'll learn something. Trolling has saved many days for me and netted my second largest Musky. http://www.buckperry.com/ http://www.spoonplugger.net/
  18. I notice you are from Chicago. Where do you fish? Look around and chances are 90% of the guys will be throwing spinnerbaits over weeds. I'm not saying they won't work but mixing things up might get you bit. Try a Pure Poison or a 4.5" Shadalicious swimbait for a different look. Both will fish in the same areas a spinnerbait will. Keep throwing it and you will catch some on it though.
  19. This may work but in my opinion, its way too much of a hassle to 'perform surgery' just to get a worm on a peg. The 3X worms are difficult to deal with but the floating qualities makes them very unique. jfriend, put it on a regular ball head or try some of the Gamakatsu Skip Gap shaky heads. I really like the Skip Gap heads. thanks fbl ... who carries the skip gap heads? i cant say that i have seen them..if i have .i over looked them...thought about t riggin em and peggin the weight...deff gonna try these tips out... Here you go. http://www.***.com/descpage-GSGSH.html
  20. Great vid Russ. By the way, I think Jimmy Houston is contacting his lawyer as he has a patent on kissing bass.
  21. I use them on this type of head with great success and no hassles. http://www.***.com/descpageTERMSTRIKE-SKTSH.html http://www.***.com/descpage-GSGSH.html http://www.***.com/descpageTERMBAG-BGSH.html
  22. Great Job! If I remember correctly, I was in High Times once. ;D
  23. Next time stay away from the cheap brands! ;D
