  2. Do you think the PVC will be boyant enough to support the boats. I was thinking about using boat fenders for docks.
  3. Really your pullin in pickrele already? I thought they were pritty much the last in the lake to become active. How big is the lake you are fishing?
  4. heres the boat I did, Thanks to the members of Bass Resource it came out perfect. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1226268614/2#2
  5. I had the loom grounded to the trailer but not the vehicle. The guy who done it put in a slave loom like a car would be.
  6. Hey I can't find the thread about the outriggers. I never do good with the search engine on here why is that? Here is that tread on the out riggers http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1235045372/11#11 Hey did your design work? Can't I just buy them I seen someone on a thread while back and they looked nice I can't find them now though. Does the design always have to go over the inside of the boat? Can't it just mout to either side?
  7. no thats not my model either. I think its the mariner from the 90's
  8. Hey guys went to Spruce Run today and there is still ice only in the coves. The large center was clear. As we were loading the boat on the trailer 3 other guys came and were going out I don't know how they did but I didn't fish today. I wanted to test my boat out.
  9. Hey I can't find the thread about the outriggers. I never do good with the search engine on here why is that?
  10. Yea that is what I was thinking and I talked to my freind who build bikes and he is going to take a look at it. He thinks he can make his own rig for it. We looked all over the web for the 565 camando steering cables and no luck. Do you know any were to get it?
  11. I really think the outriggers might make the boat much safer. Any one disagree?
  12. This is a 3.0 HP for sure. My jon boat is just like a conoe. Its light enough were 2 men can pick it up. It used to be a row boat.
  13. Are you asking me b/c I don't have a jackplate?
  14. Hey guys I took the boat out today and the bow went up a little high. I also had my wife with me which weighed it down. So my concern is how high will it go when it's just me. Any ways I am thinking about getting a motor stabilizer/ Trolling plate for the motor will this work? I have a 3 HP mercury pushing a aluminum 12' jon boat. Do they make these devises in for this model. I read on a pakage at wallmart they are adjustable is this true? Also guys when I take a turn at med speed the boat is very unstable going left to right. I have been looking at outrigged stabilizers floats. What you guys think.
  15. Hey my aluminum jon boat was a mess leaking like crazy I used fascos epoxy out of florida and it worked great. It also cames in colors.
  16. I will post pics in a little. The cabel in the head is frayed but intact. The cable snapped towards the petal and the other side is of the pully system in the petal. I think I am going to have to take this to the repair guys. Does anyone know how much a job like this will run? Should I just get a new one? I had a back up I gave to my friend and he wouldn't have a problem letting me use it till I get a new one. The only thing is that it is a hand tiller control. I already have the bracket mounted on my boat and my heart is set on a foot controlled motor. So I would really like to get thyis fixed.
  17. ok guys I opened the petal & the motor both ends are in bad shape and another has completely snapped I think i may be able to fix it if i get the peice Do you guys know how to get parts?
  18. So were esactly am I looking? not in the petal but the top of the shaft were the motor sits.
  19. Its older the logo isn't even the same. How do I find the model? The head is whit and black if that helps any. So at the top of the shaft were the cables tie in to is were I should look?
  20. Thanks for your efforts this will be plan B. I am going to see if I can look at it and get a cheap fix.
  21. No it wasn't doing that. To be honest once it wasn't doing anything I folded it back up. I didn't want to make it worse.
  22. Hey guys late last season I boughta used older modle foot controlled trolling motor. It worked fine then but I didn't use it since. I mounted it today getting ready for the season and went to try it out but nothing happened. It is cable steered when I move the petal the motor don't move. Now I am woundering if there are companys that will repair this or is it easy enough I could do it? If anyone knows were to get it taken care of or who to talk to that would be great. The motor isn't under warrenty if anyone was woundering.
  23. Hey thanks guys I am going to do half of my reels with Magic and half without. This way I'll notice the difference and were it helps me or not.
  24. Spruce Run is my second favorite lake in New Jersey Here is a contour lake map of Spruce Run for you... no need to graph it. http://www.state.nj.us/dep/fgw/pdf/lakes/sprucern.pdf And here are my 2 favorite locations on the lake. Weightless 5 Trick Sticks, Rapalas, and 4 straight finesse worms on a jighead do the trick for me in the springtime. http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i282/zelmonster/spr1.jpg (The ocassional 10 pound striper will get the heart pounding.) wow thax Zel. I didn't know you fished there YOU just really helped me Thanx
