I know that this isn't a real fishing trip but it meant as much if not more. So Please Don't Remove This Post Muddy and I along with another freind of ours went to BPS together. It was great this was the first time I met any one in person from Bass Resource. It was a blast. Today was also my first time going to Bass Pro Shop. I usally do my shopping online. I really enjoyed myself. It was so much more then I ever exspected. The guys that were with us were cool as hell. There knowlege of bassin is amazing. I wish I remebered everyones names but sorry I don't. I talk alot with Speed Beed and Robby. I learned so much in such little time. Hopefully Me and Robby are going to Beltzville together this summer. Its great to have all this insight and help with in reach. There were also a couple guys that drove 5 hours from Pittsburg to meet us. Thank You Bass Resource and fellas from PA

Need Help Wiring Trailer
Ok So I bought new tail light b/c the last ones I though may have been bad b/c of the rust and corrotion. These have ground leads coming out of them. The old ones hade no ground leads. I guess the studs were the grounds. So you guys are saying that I can ground these to the ground I have coming from my car? I have that ground tied to my trailer. Can I run the leads from the lights up to were my other ground is? Will this be fine. Does the fact that the trailer is rusted a little interupt the ground threw the trailer?

I'm not sure if I know what a ring connecter is. If I drill a hole and put a bolt threw with the ground connected by a round connecter will that be ok?

Need Help Wiring Trailer
Hey guys, I hope all is well. I have got my hitch put on with full electrical work on the vehicle. I had to rewire the entire trailer. I replaced everything but the tail lights them selves. The lights worked last year but had some problems. I followed the diagram for wiring a four flat. I connected every color and grouned to the hitch since the rig is off the trailer. It still won't work. I know it''s getting the signal from the vehicle b/c it has test lights on the female connecter. I split the brown to both lights. I also used butt connecters for better conductivity and protection. I was told if I ground it to the car it will be fine for a ground till on the trailer is that true? How can I test these lights to see if they work? There is no white for the lights them selves. Should there be? the ground is only coming from the car.

It seems like Garmin make a good product for less?

Need Fishfinder Info
O I see so when moving in the boat do you still use one transducer? Or do you need one for different locations on the boat?
-
Need Fishfinder Info
Ok it worked. That is very nice. So this will just clamp on I like that better. Will the device need 2 or just one transducer?
-
Need Fishfinder Info
O so there is more then just one transducer? I need 2?

Need Fishfinder Info
You don't state enough info. (glass boat, alum boat, outboard or electric only). If the trolling motor is a permanent bow mount then putting a ducer on it will be just fine. If it is one you take on and off I'd rethink that. I understand not wanting to drill holes in the boat. You can use a mounting board like comes with Lund boats and put the ducer on it. If you plan to use the unit to find and catch fish, save your money until you can get at least a 480X480 pixel unit. If you are only caring about depth then any unit will do. I have a 12' aluminum boat. Electric only. I would like the device to tell me depth, Temp, and structure more then pics of fish. I keep the boat at a freind house so I don't want to leave anything on it I don't have to. So even it I permanitly attach the transducer I could still remove the main sonar unit correct?

How do you like the Garmins? I have a Garmin GPS and I never had a problem. Thats for a car though.

So the portable mount will come off every time I leave the boat. I can get that for any fishfinders or just certain ones? I though that the device comes with different mounting systems? When the transducer is on the motor do you ever have problems with twist or does the motions of the motor interupt the sonar? What if you need to raise the motor higher does this stop you from doing so?

Need Fishfinder Info
Hey guys I am looking into fishfinders and I might get one for X mas. ;D I never used one before so I need one that will be easy to read and use. I am looking at spending $100 to $200. What would be my best bet at this price range? I need to be able to remove this divice when I leave so I am not sure if I could use a regular one or do I need a portable. I am thinking about mounting the tranducer to my trolling motor b/c I don't want to put any holes in my boat. Is this a good way to use it? What do most of you guys do?

Crankbait reel
I was curious on how to adjust the brakes on the trion. But to remove the brake off of the pin I would have to do something with the red peice that holds the brake back. How do you go about this? Full brakes work for me just fine but I don't get the distance I would like so I was thinking about adjusting it.
