I throw a weightless fluke in the middle and let it fall with twitches every couple seconds. From my experience the big girls in my lake usually don't hit anything until night.

If you can go Wednesday then go, why not. I would fish the humps and find the channel, they'll be there. Good Luck joe

I'd say yes, scents do get more bites. One day I was pitching a senko in the pockets of lily pads without success, then I dipped the same senko in the clear JJ's Magic and landed 3 fish right before weight in. joe

Yeah we made it out there, I caught 4 fish. I went with the kids so they wanted to ride around instead of fishing. It gave me a chance to check the boat out and make sure it was what I wanted. I'm going back out before the season is over, I had a blast out there. joe

Last winters project I went down to cabela's and bought carpet in the bargin cave for half price. I agree with Cart don't buy BPS carpet. For the price you pay it doesn't hold up very well, for me atleast. joe

I've been catching them on tubes, EVO jigs and Here's one for you guys to try in your neck of the woods, I rig on a Rapala X-Rap then about 12-15 inches in from the lure put a splitshot on it so it will go down to the bottom. The weight will ride the bottom while the X-Rap is a foot or so off the bottom. Smallies can't stand it and they gotta bite. joe

I was fishing a tournament 2 weeks ago, when a jetski came between my boat and the shore. I was so mad I wanted to chase him and throw him off the jetski and run that thing right up the bank. I didn't of course and went on fishing all of a sudden I had a fish on. After the tourney was over I had talked to one of the guys there and he said When a boat or jetski does that it will stir up the baitfish and get them to scatter and start a short feeding frenzy. joe

This past Sunday I went out at 6 in the morning to try out different lures I had just got for this weeks tournament. I caught 2 LMB then around 8 am everything died down until around 11 then the bite was back on. I would go out around 10 and stay a little later in the evening, cause it seems to me that the fish are more active in the afternoon rather than the morning. joe

Mike, I'll be launching from James Creek. I'll fish down around there then and play on the rest of the lake. Is there any shallow spots I gotta watch out for? I won't have the finder on that boat yet and I don't wanna rip the lower unit off the first day. ;D

With me buying another boat she didn't want 3 boats around so I sold the Hydra-Sport and the Glasstream so I could get the Javelin. Either way you did a fantastic job on that boat and you didn't do it half @$$ed like some projects I see.

Like I said it's been years.

Has anybody been out at Raystown lake lately? I'm picking up my new boat on Thursday in Harrisburg and it's likely that I'm going to stop there since I'm close to it and it's been years since I've been there. Joe
