  1. Are any of you Pa guys going on the bass resource roadtrip?
  2. I picked 1000-1500. Between buying new rods and new tackle, then I figured buying stuff for the boat, I figured I'll be right around there or more. SHHHHHHHHHHHH that's a secret don't tell the wife that. :
  3. to the forum glad we have another PA member
  4. 60 miles NE of Pittsburgh I fish the Allegheny,Kiskiminetas river, Crooked Creek lake, Lake Auther,Clarion River and the many ponds I found.
  5. You would hate my tacklebox then, I just bite my line off and throw the lure in the box with the knot still on it ;D
  6. I forgot one thing that has nothing to do with fishing: I HATE that I'm 28 years old and been installing flooring over ten years owned my own company since I was 23 and I lose a job because I'm TOO YOUNG. Are you kidding me, I'm a d**n good installer and all these hacks are getting my work cause their older, that's not right. > Sorry guys I had to vent. My emotions get the best of me sometimes.
  7. I HATE when you're fishing a spot for a while and another fisherman sees you're catching something so he tries to fish right beside you, I always say to them any closer and you might as well jump on my boat now BACK OFF. Like Glenn said I HATE waterskiiers when I'm fishing. BUGS also are like my worst enemy when I'm night fishing them d**n things buzzing in your ears when you're trying to fish I gotta almost use a can of OFF in a night. I also HATE when you take your kids fishing minding YOUR own bussiness and someone says to you my kids are catching bass and you have your kids catching bluegill. WHO CARES WHAT THEIR CATCHING
  8. I always shop at Sears. You're not getting crap products like walmart or sam's sell you.
  9. The other day someone called my wife about our credit card machine at the store the wanted the merchant ID number and access code since they lost it thier system. The guy said they can no longer take our cards until we get the problem fixed. She was calling me from her cell phone as she was talking to him. I told her to hang up and call the company direct, so she did and they had no idea about this phone call my wife was telling them about. The lady transfered my wife to another depatment a guy came on and said they've been getting alot of calls from other businesses saying the same story. Glad my wife has some common sense and hung up who knows what would've happened. Who ever owns a company and has a credit card machine WATCH OUT!!!
  10. Count me in.
  11. I would check your local laws before doing that. A farmer did that here and he got the DEP in on it, because here you can't alter a creek, river, waterfalls..ect......but the dep guy gave the approval for the go ahead and built a 2' wide and 2' deep channel into the pond and the same so it will drain back into the creek. Believe me that dep guy was with him every step of the way no work unless he was there. This took a few months and some money but the farmer now has 15 acre pond which is still filling up. Maybe next year he'll start to stock it minnows and bluegill to get it ready for the big boys. ;D
  12. At somepoint in time we all need a break at something in life we love to do. But the good thing is were in the U.S. where there is a million things to do as a hobby. You might just got to put this hobby down for a little while and find another, If you love fishing that much you"ll be back into it.
  13. Your in the south so it might be different for you. I got one of my friends to start bass fishing without a bobber and worm. ;D I took him to Dick's sporting goods where he got a few crankbaits to match the forage. He got a wake bait, a 2-4 ft running crank and then 6-8 ft. running crank. Then, he got some top water baits one was a buzz bait the other was Heddon torpedo. Last thing I got him was a bag of black senko's since we all know bass love'em.
  14. T-rig that's a cool pic

  17. Yeah no kidding, I went out once when It was opening day of archery season. ( come to think about it my stand is still in the tree I gotta go get it) My wife's getting sick of hearing about this trip I don't know if I'm pulling my boat down or renting one, It's still a toss up.
  18. Well guys put me on the list for March.
  19. The one river I fish up camp there's a pile of tires out in the middle of the river and I always catch a few smb there so they do hold fish. But I also heard it takes 7 quarts of oil to make a single tire, That's alot of oil being thrown in the water. I don't know I'm no expert by no means. I would stick to the wood structure idea.
  20. Good article, I haven't used night crawlers in years I sometimes get them for my son. I like using lures to attract bass. Although I just might give them a try. thank for sharing joe
