  1. You can still have a mount made without any problems. Most reputable shops can build it for you. Oh yeah, I didn't think you could with out the proper measurments and photos. I'm going to call Lake Fork taxidermy to see if they can. I heard on here that their one of the best. If I can that's my christmas present to myself
  2. I release every fish I caught. That 9 lb 8 oz monster I caught two springs ago I didn't even get a picture of her which I wish now I would of had a camera. I thought about taking her home and getting it mounted but before I talked myself into it I unhooked her and threw her back in with no regrets. The only regret I have is now knowing about replica's she would of looked good hanging on the wall.
  3. WoooooooooooHooooooooooo now paying $ 2.69 a gallon Only thing that sucks is the boat I was going to buy for the family to use might not be for sale now :'( :'( :'( He might keep it since the price of gas is going down.
  4. That's what I would do. I would get them on video then take it to your local fish and game office. That's my good side talking Now my mistake side would say get a couple sticks of dynomite and sink them and have fun doing it
  5. I used white ones with a chrome spinner and also used a black one with a gold with green glitter on a the spinner. I also had good luck with trout magnet baits. These baits do work as I mentioned but some of my best trout fishing has been with live wax worms or fly fishing. joe
  6. I always put a little rooster tail on my son's fishing rod and he catches fish or a Matzuo nnano minnow. http://www.fishusa.com/tackleshop/catalog_product.asp?url=Matzuo-Nano-Minnow&i=BBF8FCC16B674D008863491D105E635C&fx=1
  7. I choose 20-30. My best 28 smb in two in a half hours they were mostly 1.5 to 2 lbs. one was 2.5 lbs and a couple were dinks. I need to go fishing somewhere else you guys are pulling some good numbers here.
  8. I think we have a race between the pointer and the X rap. ;D
  9. I'm glad the prices are down a little I'm paying $2.89 gallon now. No more $110.00 fill ups (for now) 2 vans and a land rover all with V-8's was killing me I was spending over $450.00 a week in gas.
  10. I've been using Gulp Alive and when I have no minnows left in the bucket but I still have the scent in it I'll throw a couple senko's and a couple of tubes in it to soak up.
  11. 633 miles - 10 hours and 6 mins. I'm there. I already put it on my calender for time off. (yea like I'll forget) I don't know anyone here and It would be great to put faces to the names that I always see posting on here. My wife asked me if there was anything to do down there for her I said nope just a big lake full of fish sorry honey. hahaha ;D We gotta go in August to Edisto, S.C. for her yearly trip with her group from the forum she's on all the time.
  12. If it is the module atleast it's a quick fix.
  13. If you guys wanna send it out to me I'll give it a try. Just pm me for the address
  14. That's one of my favorite colors besides the black with blue flakes. Looks like you hooked him good.
  15. A friend handed me on of those deadringers from nose to end of the tail was only maybe 3 inches. I laughed at him said what's this. My buddy said try it we were smallmouth fishing. I tell you we caught alot of fish that day with that little thing. I guess I won't laugh at him next time
  16. I have some fishing time using the X Rap and caught fish with it. I never used anything else so I don't know whats a better producer for catching.
  17. You know RW I was up in NY at the local Dick's and their fishing department wasn't all that good either but, my local Dick's here in Pittsburgh has great selection. It's still no BPS or cabela's ;D
  18. Great looking Smallmouth. Where you from in Pa?
  19. Spinnerbaits are a good choice, I also like rat-l-trap and a weightless senko worm are also good. Do you know where it drops down to 35 ft? The one pond I fish it's 2-3 ft. deep out about 10 ft. from shore then it's a drop-off to about 8- 10 ft. deep. That ledge there is my best spot all year or till it freezes over. It took me a good 2 months to find that one sweet spot. The rest of the pond holds decent fish but not like that ledge.
  20. Brute did you call Motorguide? They might send you a new foot pedal at no charge.
  21. I never had a Motor guide so I can't comment on them but I had 4 Minnkota's from being on 2 canoes my dad's pontoon boat to my 16' tri-hull. I beat the heck out of them from smacking rocks, weeds and bottoming out and never replaced props or bent the shaft. Oh wait I just thought about my dad trashed his old one on the pontoon. It was his fault he left the motor down while putting his boat on the trailer. Needless to say it was bent in almost half >
  22. I've alot of success on the Bi-You buzzbait from Booyah. I have the Luna color (black) for my local lakes and glimmer shad in the ponds and rivers in my area.
  23. Dan whats that lure called? That looks like it might work.
  24. lol I'm right with you on that. I never put my rods or tacklebox away. In my van I rod holders mounted to ceiling to hold 6 rods and my tacklebox is put on the shelf like one of my tools 8-)
