  1. Guess it won't be fishing if there weren't a few good fish stories mixed in. Just for reference, here's a bass that weighed a mere 11 lbs. A complete dink, really. But I do know that she was weighed & measured a couple of times. And as always with most all my catches, there's video evidence. All something the OP 13 lb bass seems to be lacking. Oh, along with any credibility, of course. A-Jay
  2. There's something magical when leaning into a good one on a sunny summer morning. A-Jay
  3. She got 99 problems catching bass ain't one ~ A-Jay
  4. Hello and welcome to Bass Resource ~ @BassIQ_Angler - IME your advice is solid. However, stick around a while and you'll soon realize that this info is plastered all over this massive forum. @hampter Reading it all takes time. Applying it on the water takes even longer. But that's the best part about fishing—time on the water. Have fun. A-Jay

  6. @ATA When it's done and you finally get it, New Boat Day is Awesome. Congrats A-Jay
  7. Heading out to Lake Minichuck this morning. Hoping to get some fun time floating in between rain showers. Starting out on the coolside, high 40's. Just a touch below refreshingly. More like slightly frozen nads. Here we go...... A-Jay
  8. Just got the word—"The Beast" will be delivered on Monday, 22 June. (HS1336i) So I'll have plenty of time to figure out how to use this thing. The Noco Genius 2x2 is already mounted and ready to keep the 2 onboard big boy batteries charged & conditioned. https://no.co/genius2x2 Also went with a pair of GC002 M6 Eyelet Connectors that are compatible with the X-Connect on Genius Chargers. https://no.co/gc002 Permanently mount eyelets on battery terminals to create a convenient connection to quickly plug in your NOCO Genius battery charger for daily charging and battery maintenance. I use the Genius 2 and these connectors on both my rider & walk-behind mowers. Almost too easy. I can't remember the last time I actually hoped we got HAMMERED with snow for an upcoming winter. But that's the deal—at least this year. A-Jay
  9. I've been stalking the Lake Minichuck & vicinity weather forecast for the middle of this week pretty hard. And in typical fashion, it's been wavering back and forth. Rain—no rain, rain, no rain. At some point we need to make a call, so I'm making it. Fishing tomorrow. It will either be a cloudy sort of killer green bass fishing morning into early afternoon. Or we'll get hosed with a sad soaking rain. Fishing in the Old Town Canoe rapidly loses its charm in the rain. Hoping for the best with plenty of hump day green bass. Here we go . . . A-Jay
  10. Several E-Bay vendors offer lifetime supply assortment packs (S, M, & L) at almost stupid cheap pricing. purchased one many moons ago and I'll never need to resupply. So I'm talking 720 units for $10 bucks vs. 6 units for $3 bucks locally. Good Luck A-Jay

I use a PC . Don't even know how to use a phone although my wife is a whiz at it. Me,not so much. The editing software used makes a differrence IMO. I use Movavi. Easy and effective. A-Jay

Nice job. Sounds like you had your work cut out for you. Little GoPro tip for you. While I do not have the constraints of derby fishing, I do run my cameras all day on the water. Editing super long video clips is time-consuming and a PIA. And using any 'feature' designed to be a shortcut to that has not worked out well for me. So I run them on record constantly when I get a hookup, fight, and land a fish, I stop recording and restart once I start fishing again. That way, all my fish catches are always at the end of the video clip, regardless of how long it is. Makes the editing deal considerably less time consuming, and I don't 'miss' recording anything. Good luck. A-Jay
  13. I use 832 and max Quattro. Tried 131, I like that a bit more but the other braids last so long that it's going to be several seasons before there's a reason to replace them. A-Jay
