  1. A little more than this one ~ A-Jay
  2. Thank you very much for the Generous offer, but with this most recent & very welcome change, I need to ramp up my preseason yard work schedule. Before today I had over two weeks to get it done. But now I really need to bust a move. The ice could go out here in a weeks or so. I have to be done & ready. Because once there's open water - I turn into The Invisible Man - now you see him - now you don't. A-Jay
  3. Hello Bill and Welcome to Bass Resource ~ A-Jay
  4. Wow ~ ! ! ! This is a Game Changer for me . . . . . . Never thought I'd see it but I am SO Glad it's the Law. Now I just need some open water. Guess the bad thing is now it can't thaw fast enough . . . . . . A-Jay

  7. I haven't fished them yet but I'll let you know. A-Jay
  8. I don't wacky rig all that much but when I do, I Always use the O-ring deal. Slamming a hook through a Senko is almost certainly a one & done situation for the bait, at least for me. A-Jay
  9. Pulling big bass from heavy cover requires stout tackle. Giving the fish Any Slack will result in lost fish & lost tackle. There is No Drag slip at all, just heavy strain on all parties involved. A-Jay https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hLxr_wUrwrQ

  11. I don't think I'd go quite that far my friend . . . A-Jay
  12. I definitely feel everybody's pain here ~ Sometimes when I lose a decent one, I actually have to laugh and tip my hat. Especially if the fish displayed a particularly high level of skill & creativity to earn it's freedom. However, if & when it's a Big Fish and you know what I mean here . . . It's NEVER FUNNY . . . . EVER ! ! ! ! A-Jay
  13. You are barking up the Wrong Tree. A-Jay
  14. I like this one ~ A-Jay
  15. I haven't tried them all but the 20 or so I have used over the years have helped me come to one conclusion. Though there are varying degrees of stretch - the term Low Stretch and monofilament don't really go together. To choose a quality line, finding a balance between handling characteristic, durability, and price is the way to go. A-Jay
  16. Snows - Almost gone. A few of my distant neighbors do plant . . but it Must be inside a very secure 6 -8 foot fence with small gauge otherwise it will get wiped out. Of course there are a ton of farms here. Those areas are called "good for hunting" I like your set up. A-Jay
  17. Between the Rabbits & the Deer - Anything I planted would be GONE in One Night ~ They are hungry & very Sneaky . . . A-Jay
  18. We all have a few - we usually let them fly immediately upon losing a bass and are often not shy about directing them at our definitely now depressed fishing buddy, right after he or she experiences the agony of defeat. Here's a couple of my favorites: "I just got Toasted" "She Just Chewed Me Up & Spit Me Out" "She Took Me To School & Stole My Lunch Money" You got any ? A-Jay
  19. I have a two different model PENN LEVELMATIC reels both sport a 4:1 ratio. Though I don't know the exact IPT, I'll tell you that for me they are just a little too slow; for anything including cranking. Tried them on a couple of different occasions and the "Slowness" was a problem for me on both the retrieve and especially the few times I did get bit, fighting the bass (all keeper size bass) was a big challenge. I had to spin that little reel handed like a mad man just to keep the fish pinned. So they've been retired - another way to access the retrieve speed of that ratio is to think "spybait". A-Jay
  20. Good Idea - And here's a little extra info to help you make the right choice the first time. I like a rubber bag as it's easy on the fish and treble hook friendly. (Tangle Free) A-Jay http://www.lake-link.com/propointers/pointer.cfm/4/The-Real-Scoop-On-Landing-Nets/
  21. You're Welcome ~ And if something happens - and it doesn't happen, my offer still stands. A-Jay
  22. Well I for one , would like to personally thank you for not making that the subject of your Avatar . . . A-Jay

  25. OK - so that whole thing was basically not applicable. Sorry A-Jay
