  6. As opposed to a hook going up through the roof on the mouth and into an eye ball ? Maybe switch all you treble hooks out for barbless single J-hooks. Fishing is a contact sport - might not be for everybody. A-Jay
  7. The Lot - Nothing tells me these baits will command anything above retail. So - The Lot A-Jay

  13. If I agreed with you we'd both be wrong. The sole purpose of a child's middle name, is so he can tell when he's really in trouble. The voices in my head may not be real, but they have some good ideas. A-Jay
  14. Nice Bass & New PB PB's are Always a Blast ! Not going to guess the weight - why spoil it. Congrats A-Jay

  21. Looks useful ~ Which pound test of this are you using for swimbaits ? Also, are you tying direct to your main line or are you using a small swivel ? Thanks in advance A-Jay
  22. The Lazy Ike - An Oldie one but a Good one. That's one bait that really could benefit from being connected with a small clip or at the very least, use a loop knot. A-Jay
  23. At the very least the impeller should be checked seasonally and replaced routinely. How often depends on use but once the impeller fins develop too much "memory" (meaning they are all bent or curved and stay that way when removed) it's lost some of it's efficiency and should be replaced. Also if & when it starts to dry out a little, making it brittle and increases the potential for failure, I'd change it. Also carrying a spare is a good Idea too. Over time the gaskets can rot out which is not a desirable situation either, replacement is necessary. There's a ton of videos on youtube that walk a DIYer through it. A-Jay
  24. Don't know which model Swithwick you have but the Perfect 10 Rogue is the longest bait in the line. But at 5 1/2 inches and 5/8 oz., it's definitely not too big for any waters that have a healthy population of adult large or smallmouth bass. In the right conditions, at the right place & time, that bait is pretty good. All the Smithwick baits are and have been for a long time. Give it a try before you give up on it. Btw - I'm partial to the Lucky Craft Pointer line - the 100DD in particular. A-Jay
  25. Great Bass ~ Congrats on the excellent trip. A-Jay
