  1. Now THAT will be KILLER on a Scrounger Head ~ ! Attention Fellow Scrounger Club Members ~ Looks like a Fluke partially split down the middle. A-Jay
  2. I heard that as well - I do not care for it. Another reason why some anglers really struggle with the MLF format - can't plant "Good Spots" in advance if you don't know where your going to fish. A-Jay
  3. Take a look at the Freedom Tackle Hydra Hybrid Jig & Stealth Hybrid Jig. It's a very effective rig for many applications including soft swim baits. Allows an effective swim bait presentation in virtually any cover. This rig also will accept almost any hook the angler desires. (Doesn't have to be EWG - think about that) This hasn't been used mainstream yet but the flexibility and weedless factor on this one has been killer for me. A-Jay
  4. I did see that - he also won the whole the thing a while back. (MLF) Dominated it too. A-Jay
  5. The more I watch & listen to Brent Ehrler, the more I like his style ~ A-Jay
  6. It's very nice - I just wish Z and Tommy S would shut up - The constant chatter is unnecessary . . . A-Jay
  7. Officially the Coldest Day I've experienced here in northern Michigan -30 without the wind chill. I'm not digging it. A-Jay
  8. I'm painting up some jerkbaits - going with custom colors just for the Lake Erie pre-spawn. Here's what I'm using to help me match the hatch . . . . . . A-Jay

I do know that feeling. It doesn't help when one of my dogs just comes up - looks me right in the eye and without a reason that is apparent to me, barks right at me ? ? ? ? Reminds me of that old Lassie episode - when the dog would bark at one of them and they'd ask Lassie "Did Timmy Fall Down the Well ?" I know something is up - just don't know what it is - usually they just want to EAT. A-Jay
  10. Thanks for the chance Glenn That was easy ~ A-Jay
  11. The more I fish them, the more impressed I am. A scrounger comes through light to moderate cover surprising well. You can fish it wrong as long as you fish it low & slow. A-Jay
  12. Last spring the Pre-spawn Smallmouth bite on Lake Erie seemed a bit off for both numbers & size. So I'm going with - Every year is a different deal. Even when they appear to be similar, each one is different. That's my story & I'm sticking to it. Besides, I have a friendly but fierce "tournament" coming up there this spring and would really prefer schools of cooperative bass to help out the cause . . . . A-Jay
  13. Nice looking trout ~ especially while it's sliding around in a buttered fry pan . . . . A-Jay

    A lot less than I'd like ~ A-Jay
  15. That Moss Back Shiner color is extremely effective on the Sub walk for smallies here. So much so that it's The Only color of that bait I fish - which practically never happens. I like that perch looking job there as well. A-Jay
  16. Paging Mr. Hottle ~ Paging Mr. Dwight Hottle ~ Will Mr. Hottle please pick up any white courtesy phone. A-Jay

Tell me about it - while out with the dogs this morning, my left eye ball froze open ~ My dogs thought I was giving them the "Stink Eye" . . . . A-Jay
  18. Nice Bass Paul ~ Congrats A-Jay
  19. Just like a trolling motor - Get the largest net you can deal with - you'll be glad you did. Both of those are solid selections btw ~
  20. That's a position that has great hours & sweet benefits ! A-Jay
  21. Good Luck Dale ~ Hank & I will be anxiously waiting the results of your search . . . A-Jay

  23. Point taken J - though the main reasons for changing out line for me remains the same; revolves around damage. btw - I'm also a KVD line conditioner user & abuser. A-Jay
  24. Reasons why I change out the entire spool of mono line ~ in no particular order. - Had to break off from snag and spool is less than say 2/3's full - line becomes extremely frayed or damaged in the middle of it's length where simply pulling some off would result in less than 2/3's of a spool. - at the start of each new season (if I hadn't changed it out recently) - and finally, regardless of it's condition, after every single days fishing while on Lake Baccarac - because fishing around 15 pound plus Bass . . . . . makes me neurotic ! A-Jay
  25. Me Too ~ as an Emergency Anchor Line or Ski Rope . . . . A-Jay
