The Pack Has Grown ~ Again
Sorry I didn't see this earlier - There are some fairly distinct differences between the two breeds - I've had both. Gunner and Brody are Alaskan Malamutes. Pros & cons of any breed are in the eye of the potential owner. You & your wife should read all you can find about both breeds and make an educated choice regarding dog ownership when the time is right. PM me for more. Good Luck A-Jay

Pointer Vs Flash Pointer
Even though the flash pointer (115) is a little longer than the 100 pointer, the 100 is still a stout bait that gets strikes from both brown & green bass. The Flash Pointer is a 3 hook bait as compared to the 2 hooks on the 100. The Flash has a slight different ( 9Faster) action / wobble) than the 100 as well. As far as size of the bait- the preference may depend on the bait that's prevalent in a system or perhaps what the bass may be on at any given time. And just for reference, for me the pointer 128 has accounted for smb over 6 and lmb bass over 9. A-Jay

Things I Like To Do With Hole In One Skirts
Here's my version ~ The rig from line to hook consists of a stopper, a Cobra Black Head or a Paycheck Baits Head Case with the spring removed (I painted the white one), your choice of shirt and whatever weighted swim bait hook you prefer. These are all Falcon Lures Bait-Jerk EWG Hooks. The plastics pictured are a Gene Larew Biffle Bug. a Rage Lobster, two Rage Eeliminators. The plastic you chose can be almost anything you’d normally use as a moving bait trailer: even a swim bait like a Skinny Dipper. Makes a decent search bait, great for soft bottom area and is good from the bank as well. One could even rig it with a very light weighted hook (or no weight) and drag it on top. A-Jay

Rod For Chatterbait Style Blades
I'd agree with that ~ and the thing that always surprises me about the Chatterbait & Scrounger is just how well they come through cover. Makes the both very versatile. A-Jay

Rod For Chatterbait Style Blades
I'm have not fished a ton of chatterbaits but this past season I fished the chatterbait on a few different rigs looking for what might be the best option. Turns out for me, the same rods I throw spinnerbaits on was it. A MH Glass or composite rod & braided line or a MH graphite stick & mono - both worked. Seems the slight "delay" in strike detection offered with the glass rig and the mono line rig allows the fish to get the bait better before I put the boots to her. This seemed especially important when using a swim bait style trailer. A-Jay

More With Buddy, Or Not?
I'll say I catch bigger fish alone - and they may be a result of shear diligence more than anything else. Now when I'm not on my home waters, all bets are off. I'm with fishing buddies & good friends who are very good sticks in their own right. So I'm doing what I can to keep up. A-Jay

Good Anchor For A Canoe?
^^^^^^^^ X2^^^^^^^^^^^ In flat calm conditions or where there is no current - anchor line length is rarely an issue - if it reaches the bottom - you're good. But when there is wind &/or current you will need sufficient anchor line length for the anchor to work. Anglers who anchor routinely carry enough line - I use 2 mushroom anchors for a 16 ft canoe. 10 & 15 lb models. I'm often holding in 25 - 35 feet of water - Both anchor lines are over 100 feet and are stored in a small mesh bag so they will dry out. A-Jay
