  7. Thanks - but I haven't had any yet - hint, hint. A-Jay
  8. I am somewhat surprised they weighed Randy Howell in so soon. He had a heck of a day. The final bag of bass weighed will crown the Classic Champion. A-Jay
  9. After laying out the scale and the camera, and then setting up the video camera - I'm casting - and then handing the rod to my wife. A-Jay
  10. Perhaps your final decision of whether you should have a separate rig for lipless baits will ultimately depend on how and where you plan on fishing them. If you're working the bait around, over and eventually through grass and using the standard technique of snapping or ripping the bait up and out of the grass, a moderate action rod ( I actually use a glass stick) when paired with a 6.6:1 reel and braided line works for me. 16. I did a career in the service. Being gone a lot while my son was growing up was part of the deal. I had no choice at the time. Later in my career when I did have a choice, I was home more. I realized that the time I missed could never be recovered. Missing good times and tough times is less than desirable. Your wife will appreciate you being there to help out. Some how it always happens that as soon as I left - I was needed most. Good Luck A-Jay
  17. The 3/8 & 1/2 oz Long bill bait has been the most consistent producer for me. Super and Magnum Fluke, Mag trick worm, & a 6" slug-go all work. But I'm always hanging anything & everything on the back of the bait looking for a new trailer. As for the Scounga Club membership - the by laws require the catch & release of a Grande (double digit) Lake Baccarac Bass - A-Jay

  23. With the way the "Spectators" are conducting themselves - I guess it would either need be a Cloaking device or a scatter gun. A-Jay
