Deer & Eagle sightings are a fairly common occurrence here. Red Fox are seen maybe 4 or 5 times a season. Black Bear twice in the past 7 years. Bears are fun to see as long as I'm out on the Lake . . . I fish a lot at night and although I never see them, Owls and Coyote calls often fill the night air. On an other wise quite night, while sitting in the back of a cove, that initial call of either echoing out of the pitch black woods always gives me chills. A-Jay

The results of this crazy over the top winter will linger up here for some time. Usually I can get out near the 3rd week in March, give or take a week. Of course I'm trout fishing as C&R bass season opens last Sat in April in MI. I'm going to guess that Ice Out on most of my favorite waters this year will be close to the Opener. Good Times. A-Jay
