The original Schwetty Balls skit with Alec Baldwin is the King. Can't post a link, you'll have to look that one up for yourself. A-Jay
  2. Not knowing your location will make answering any of your question impossible. I'd advise you to locate the website of your home state (or the state of the waters you plan to fish in) and read the boating rules and regulations. This should answer the questions you've asked here along with many more. I live in Michigan, the two best resources regarding this stuff for me are the Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and the Michigan Secretary of State (SOS). Good Luck A-Jay

  4. Thanks Shane ~ The Lobster is a bit longer and a bigger profile but I fish it all season and catch just as many nice brown bass as green. Also the base of the claws on the Lobster are thicker than the Craw claws so they seem to last a little longer. Although I'll fish a one-Arm Bandit all day; especially if it's my last one. A-Jay

  6. Welcome Fellow Vet to BR ~ Thank you for your service. A-Jay
  7. Hey Stitch, St Croix recommends to use a quality wax on the entire rod but particularly the male ferrule ends. I used a standard auto wax before the trip and after 5 days & thousands of casts, the rod sections barely moved at all. A-Jay

  11. I'm sorry Brian, but I don't think I can be of any assistance here. Discombobulated and / or Gumby Advice posts are what I gravitate towards . . . . A-Jay
  12. Perhaps it was stolen - like having your Identity swiped. Next thing you know some wannabe fraud will be putting up partially coherent posts that look some what familiar . . . .. . . A-Jay
  13. OUCH ~ Yup - been there Brother. Lynn & I call that "Full Contact Dog Ownership" Can't tell you the number of times I've taken a big head to the squash or had my teeth put through my lip for me; taken a couple of decent Mike Tyson like shots to the jaw too. I may never learn "not to go over the dog" but I love to play with them and they just loose their minds too. It's fun but you've got to be willing to endure the re-hab. You've got me on the black eye though - how about posting up a shot of that Badge of Courage ? Ah - the pleasure of large breed dogs. A-Jay

  18. And for those who are perhaps looking to add some of the great titles listed here, Amazon.com is an very convenient and inexpensive resource. Not all but several very good reads are available "Used" for as little as one penny - that's $00.01 dollars and at least half the time that's with free shipping. My wife & I both utilize this and would encourage members not to shy away from this because of the "Used" designation. Amazon used book are all we buy anymore and every one has either met and often times exceeded the provided description. In fact, there have been several Autographed collector's editions received that were sold for 1 cent & free shipping. Give it a try. A-Jay
  19. x2 Might be my favorite part - along with "the sounds on the night" A-Jay
  20. Fishing very early and late in the day is always good advice but may be even more important during flat calm conditions. Fishing at night could be an option as well during these conditions. The darkness will even the playing field. A-Jay

  22. Welcome to BR Jaxon ~ A-Jay
  23. Been buying my tubes from PROvider Tackle for a while now. Owned by Art Ferguson - he know something about tubes. http://www.providertackle.com/store/index.php?route=product/category&path=66 I fish very clear water and a couple of their colors just work here. Both 3 1/2 and 4 inch in BBQ Melon and Roadkill have been very good. A-Jay
  24. You may want to consider learning to cast and fish with the other wing. Then you'll be able to spread the work load around. I do it. A-Jay
