  1. The one that started it all - the Original Rebel Minnow In 2012 the Rebel Lure company celebrated it 50th anniversary. My First "Artificial Lure Caught Bass" came on this bait and it's still catching fish today. A-Jay
  2. I'll give you that one Kent and I'll admit Pats fans should be spoiled. If they are not now, they will be when they both step away from the game. The crazy thing about this season is just how BAD this team looks during so many of the first half's of games only to play like world beaters and come back to win in the second half. Even the most die-hard fans know - this Can Not continue - yet it does A-Jay
  3. I think it's funny that this years team despite being completely decimated with injuries to key personnel on both sides of the ball, They are actually in such a favorable position. Even as a Rapid Pats fan, everything in me says there's no way they can still pull this off. But a few years ago I thought there was no way they could loose - and you might recall how that turned out. A-Jay
  4. Check out the Owner PHANTOM TUBE HOOK. It's a little different looking but is easy to rig and does everything you want. A-Jay https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5mIigynP2ts
  5. The Thursday Night Football results are in ~ The last few game in the AFC just got a little more interesting . . . . . . . And that post game show with Phil Rivers was a little wacky A-Jay
  6. Nice Bass Steve - Cold & Flip Flops ~ what a funny guy . . . . A-Jay
  7. On the pants ~ Yes In the pants ~ No A-Jay
  8. A Man's gotta do, what a Man's gotta do ~ A-Jay
  9. First off Welcome to BR Captain Walker ~ As for bait ID help - posting up a decent photo my be your best bet. The good news is that post pics is easy and very few if any of these "what's this bait?" threads ever go unidentified. The membership here is simply too good & too Big ! A-Jay
  10. Now that's what I'm talking about ~ ! Absolutely Love The Bed Head. A-Jay
  11. On a completely separate note - Due to the subject line of this particular thread, and knowing the present clientele like I do, I must admit that I am pleasantly surprised that this thread has not included a few more seedy replies. A-Jay
  12. When it's right, doubles are a way of life on that fishery. And when things are really going your way, sometimes that second, third or even fourth rod will load up. And when the smoke clears and big mess is finally cleared out of the net you could be snapping shots of anything from obscenely large Smallmouth, to Steelhead, Lakers, Brown trout or even a pigged out Waldo ~ A-Jay
  13. We knew that was it Kent ~ Just hitting ya with a little Holiday Season Busting of the Chops ~ A-Jay btw - anyone need some Snow - there is an abundance falling on my head . . . . . .
  14. While I whole-heartily agree that in order to encounter big bass one must be fishing waters where they actually reside. However to imply that angling for, and catching the largest fish at any of the above mentioned venues somehow requires less than average skills is in every way, shape, form and fashion Wrong. Let the back-peddling begin . . . . . . . A-Jay

  17. Nice job getting this far - but we both know you'll never give in and this is in fact only a drop in the bucket. The fact that you have announced you're intentions here is not only a bold move on your part but also solid indication that you are ready to move on from this and that you have no intention of letting yourself down. The self-confidence that you will gain from this experience will transfer into all aspects of your life. The single most positive aspect from this will be the improvement of your our self worth. This will motivate you to change those three words above your avatar - because it's not true. A-Jay
  18. No experience fishing the bait but by the looks of it - It's Killer. A-Jay
  19. What you're asking does not exit. There is no bait that is the "lure that is reliable in pretty much every condition". Perhaps most interesting is - You are missing the point. The single best part of any fishing success is figuring out and finding what works - Yourself. Asking for or looking for the "Holy Grail" of bass fishing is a waste of time. In fact to take this a step further, I would not want the answer even if it did exist. It would truly ruin the best part of it all - the chase and challenge. AJay
  20. It's all up to the USPS now . . . A-Jay
  21. Right and besides - noodling doesn't count. A-Jay
  22. With so many of the BR members being incredibly talented and experience sticks, (which I am not) I am looking forward to what is posted here. In the mean time, here's my entry. 1). Learn the entire life cycle of your quarry and that of it's various food sources. 2). Fishing at the Time & Places where the largest Fish are. 3). Be Ready ~ Ensure that every aspect of the tackle you chose is more than capable of hooking, fighting & landing your fish of a life time. 3a). Use a net. A-Jay
  23. X2 ~ It's been mentioned a couple of times in this thread how during this phase many anglers feel that the largest fish become more "vulnerable". Imagine if you will, what if these fish spawned at a depth or in a local that was the same as where they spend the rest of the year. Would the number of these fish caught be less ? My contention would be yes, most definitely. And I'm not saying whether I know for sure how this affects reproduction rates or fish mortality, but if they're not caught at all, it's hard to think there would be any harm done. A-Jay
  24. Almost Dwight ~ Almost . The difference may be the wearing of Thermally Insulated Coveralls vs. 50 SPF. A-Jay
