  5. Just don't forget to help him out when you can. You know what I mean - show him all those "secret techniques" like - Ultra light frog fishing in the slop, 30lb Mono for deep cranking, How to fish a Texas rigged G I Joe, and how to cast Really far by turning ALL the breaks off on his casting reel - especially when he's first learning. Oh and don't forget to share that the real secret to getting the most out of his JJ's Magic scent, is to apply it with a spray bottle. I'm certain he'll appreciate the help. A-Jay
  6. I know right - I was waiting to see how long it would be before someone caught that - It's Been Killer ! A-Jay

  8. Congrats on a couple of Beautiful Brown bass ~ btw, try to keep it down about those sub-walks - everyone knows they don't actually catch fish A-Jay
  9. Vern, as he was known in pre-Gadabout days, acquired the nickname "Gadabout" due to his wanderlust, and as such had a hard time confining himself to any one location for more than a few months at a time. A-Jay
  10. Yes I do, I'm looking for the head of Alfredo Garcia and a clean copy of the Beatles White Album. A-Jay
  11. After this past week of Ridiculous Heat and Humidity my dogs and I are certainly looking forward to temps get back to more normal ranges, with the over night temp closer to 45 rather than 75 ! That being said, a Christmas movie now it just in poor taste. And here's what it felt like when I got in my truck yesterday . . . A-Jay
  12. Yup, and anyone who's using casting gear and tells you "they never do that" IS LYING. A-Jay

Yes, that is a little funny. I'll tell you what's not funny is the rather embarrassing difference between the size of the Mutant smb you're routinely landing and the dinks the rest of us Mortals get. Just kidding A-Jay

You're right Dwight Sorry about that - Welcome to the club. So I guess that means we're both just posting it up while we wait for the fall smb run ? A-Jay
  15. Berkley Power Grub 4" Green Pumpkin is a good choice up here. You received some great advice so far and here is a method that takes fish as well. Use a heavier head jig with the grub. Make a cast and allow the bait to get to the bottom and quickly snap it up off the bottom. Allow it to fall on either a semi-slack line or for a quicker decent, a completely slack line. Repeat this snap and fall for the length of the retrieve. Let the fish tell you what they want. Most hits will come on the fall. Often times the harder you rip it up, the better they like it. This works with tubes quite well also. Good Luck A-Jay
  16. They're talking about an XO casting rod & reel combo here that weights in at right around 10 Ounces ! That's Crazy ~ A-Jay
  17. I'm with ya ~ The EXO does look interesting. However, I'm always concerned about the structural strength of anything designed with a skeletal frame. If there's a concern it may not show up during cranking but flipping might be another story. We'll see. A-Jay
  18. Is this what you're referring to ? http://bike.shimano.com/publish/content/global_cycle/en/us/index/products/road/di2.html A-Jay
  19. Owner Wide Gap Plus Black Chrome Hooks You'll have to really work at it to bend these and they stay sharp A-Jay http://www.***.com/Owner_Wide_Gap_Plus_Black_Chrome_Hooks/descpage-O5139.html
  20. Cool - I'm big grub fan and I'm also looking forward to getting these wet. On another note, I've been fooling around with the eeliminator and using it as a grub/ trailer. No doubt it is big but it's taken a few fish while on the back of a Spinnerbait slow rolled deep and as a jig trailer. And if you're looking to whack a few pike, they seem to really be attracted to that long, slow, undulating tail regardless of what it's connected to . . . . A-Jay
  21. Now That's Funny ! Great fish guys - Congrats A-Jay
  22. Yes Sir, we did. And I'm not complaining, I'm just saying . . . . A-Jay
  23. Wow - that IS a Big Bug-Eyed Bass ! A-Jay
