  1. Should be a an entertaining event with interesting and competitive fights all over the fight card. But Jones is a freak and until he fights someone that can get to Jones's legs and slow down his attack (perhaps put him more on the defensive) while avoiding all the lethal weapons the Champ possesses, I don't see the belt changing hands. Very Nice ~ That happens here occasionally in the spring and fall. Sometimes I'll throw a smaller jerkbait and get some decent trout. Were you throwing baits that targeted bass and catching the trout as by catch or were you tossing trout type baits ? And what lures were they ? A-Jay
  3. Yes Sir ~ that Blue Craw will be added to the arsenal. Blue seems to be a good sunny day color for me. A-Jay

I haven't put up the gear just yet, so there is a chance. But the lakes here will start to freeze over very soon. The cakes were quite tasty - I went with the beer batter. A-Jay

  8. Welcome to BR Paul. Cool video. I have to say though - a fall crankbait bite in 58 degree water, at least in this neck of the woods, is Always a PRE - Turnover period. No doubt it's a great time to fish as the bass are eager to chase down the bait and hammer it. The Turnover here is characterized by colder dirty water and the fish are rarely as charged up about eating especially a fast moving horizontal presentation. I really have to force feed them with something low and slow to get them to bite at all. Those surely are some hefty smallies either way. A-Jay

Thanks All - And RW - That Roadtrip might be in the cards for me in the spring. I'll be looking for those detail, hoping for the right set of circumstances and of course reasonable weather . . . A-Jay
  11. The wind finally let up so I hit the lake for what would most likely be the dreaded Last Trip. Water temps were high 30's. First stop was a "hole" with some wood in 35 fow. Hummingbird revealed that there were several fish on it. Turned out to be brown fatties. First few casts they gobbled up the swimbait but then shut off. This was the coldest water I've caught bass with a swimbait. But, it was over just as quickly as it started. I managed to stay unfrozed until dark and took home a few "Eater" sized walleyes for diner. It's been a decent season. I hope this winter isn't too long. A-Jay
  12. Yea, me too and btw, adding a scent to that bait would be redundant. A-Jay
  13. Great looking fish Dwight. And that Smallie looks THICK ! A-Jay

  15. No doubt, the Packers look very strong. If they're gonna blow a game, fans have to hope it's just not the Last One. A-Jay
  16. Way to Go Rooster ~ OK, I am running out of things to say here . . . . Another Tremendous Bass ! A-Jay

  18. What ? Eddie B was the OP. Did you bump your head or do you have the Marty Feldman eyes as well ? Although I'd be very proud to call this my catch - it's not . A-Jay

  25. Ah, Yea the challenges of shooting video with a fish on while you're alone . . . Some day I'm going conquer that battle. You sir, get a very high score there for acquiring some quality footage while fighting the fish. Not a easy task and not one for the faint of heart. Where do you hide the third arm required for that feat? And was an Acme K.O. Wobbler pinned in that beautiful buck's face perhaps ? A-Jay
