  1. Nice but that's just way too early for me. Once the Ferns begin to yellow in advance of the leaves changing colors is the 'signal' for me. "Launch The Lund Dude ! !" 😎 A-Jay
  2. Changes a bit every year for me ~ Last year looked like this: https://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/258333-productive-baits-2023-~/ Year before looked like this: https://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/252064-productive-baits-~-2022-big-fish-edition/ This year's MVB's have yet to be determined. But so far it's pretty close to what's already listed above Fish Hard A-Jay
  3. Mid and late August right through into September can be Almost as good as April for me up this way. Plus size fish seemed less concentrated but when they come shallow they are there to eat. Also late summer is some of the most comfortable days of the year. Something I would not say about April. Prime time for open water Topwater baits as well. Huge fan of just about ALL of that.deal. Fish Hard A-Jay
  4. Hello muscle soreness my old friend. I've come to talk with you again. Because I am a freak. You left the seeds while I was asleep. And the vision that was planted in my brain, still remains. Within the realm of fitness. A-Jay
  5. 3 cars ? Here that's traffic! 😅 A-Jay
  6. Decent fish, I almost always look them over and thank them on the release. Admittedly, total dinks, not so much. A-Jay
  7. Have you ever actually fished the 80 lb mono ? I have but not in any bass fishing applications. All my experience with big mono comes from fishing in saltwater for fish that are SEVERAL TIMES larger than any bass. It's GIGANTIC diameter is just foolish to use for bass fishing. It's hard to tie and the knots are beyond bulbous when compared to average bass line. Why not use what works ? I have been using that AFW for YEARS - and it works fine. There 's nothing else I can add here. Good Luck A-Jay
  8. Workout Day 3 this morning. Staying on the leaner side is a commitment and a challenge. One I most readily accept, especially at this age. #borninfiftynine https://youtu.be/vHcGatXYods?feature=shared A-Jay
  9. I do have and fish both the Victory rods and LBT. Casting and spinning. Like them both quite a bit and have NOT Blown one up. And just to be clear, I can blow up rods with the best of them. All things being equal, IMO, the Victory rods are lighter, faster & crisper than the same actions in the LTB lines. So the LTB sticks actually bend further down the blank when they need to. If you're snapping the Victory rods, that may explain it. Hope you're using the ST Croix warranty Process as well. Good Luck. A-Jay

  12. Everything is strange in the UP. 🤪 A-Jay
  13. Thanks ~ Getting out onto some of the best but distance waters might be a little tricky. But I'll go when I can and Fish Hard while I'm there. A-Jay
  14. I fish a spinnerbait a ton in August and into September for smallmouth up here. Stiff Warm wind blowing across a big flat is prime time for this guy. Getting pretty pump too because it's about to go down again in just a few weeks. When a big fatty smashes a bait burned right under the surface, the strike is ferocious. (and addicting). 15. Really sorry to hear you lost your rig. We all hope to never need to get our premium payments back in the form of replacement but are so glad we have that option if needed. So are we going shopping ? A-Jay
  16. Nice ~Thanks Like the nick names even stand a chance of ending there. A-Jay
  17. Quality over quantity ~ Good Luck Btw, I must have missed it. What did you name your pup ? A-Jay
  18. Mostly the Strike King KVD Perfect Plastic Blade Minnow. Not interested in trailer action, and this one has very little. Instead I use it for the profile. https://youtu.be/NpVmd8ll1Dg?feature=shared&t=163 A-Jay
  19. We used them in Mexico with quite a bit of success. Rig off choice was a 1 ounce swing head with a 7/0 Owner Beast EWG. Work especially well on deeper fish down 20 or 30 feet in the wind. A-Jay
  20. Purchased the cap pictured above new in 2021 to go on the new AT4. Loved everything about the cap. No issues at all. In fact, when I purchased my newest rig 2024, (Pic below) I transferred the 2021 cap over to the new truck. Still love it and there's been zero issues. I could not recommend these toppers more. A-Jay
  21. Workout Day 2 started with Step Back Lunges this morning. Always get my attention right off the bat. #borninfiftynine https://youtu.be/XxHB-1BAkfQ?feature=shared A-Jay
  22. For sure ~ A-Jay
