Mono when fished regularly, has a pretty short life span IMO when compared to FC and of course braid. How long it last may depend on the quality, the usage and mabe how it's being used. But the price is decent so why wait to snap off your new PB to find out. Personally I'll end for end or change it once it's no longer performing like the day I spooled it up. A-Jay

When it comes to depth finder 'noise' I am not sure which way to lean. But isn't 'noise' the entire premise behind the infamous Hydrowaves fish attracting system. I'm not saying, I'm just saying. Personally I never really bought into that deal. A-Jay

No doubt Mr Jones can use FFS. However, he is often fishing the hottest big fish lakes at the Prime time and just like rest of us, enjoys showing the world His Best Catches. I may not be as sharp as I was 10 or 20 years ago, but whatever I may lack in that department, I make up for in appreciation and gratitude for any and all plus size fish I manage to catch. IME, if you need wire and you fish in clear water (I do), Use it. The fish will still eat your bait and you will not get bit off, Recent bass fishing trip hooked a pike and landed it . I was using AFW knotable wire which I show in the clip. Been using this same stuff effectively for Years. The below 2 SMB ate a jerkbait with a 20 lb AFW leader. Good Luck A-Jay

If the fish are large enough to get the bait inside their mouth and the hooks are decent, exposed some and sharp and you are missing the hookset; I would guess it's your 'timing' not your tackle. Either you're early , reacting to the splash, or late, asleep at the wheel. Sometimes feeling the weight of the fish before hitting it can help. Only takes a fraction of a second wait in most cases. Before you throw money at it, perhaps look at that. A-Jay

2nd time for me with Covid. No cough for me this time - sore throat, super fatigued and the mother of all headaches that was relentless for 10 straight days. I'm on the back end now I think. Update as of Saturday morning, 29 Jun 2024. Lynn's condition has been slow to respond or improve. Accordingly and so she can have the best care available, last night she was transported to https://www.henryford.com/locations/henry-ford-hospital 3.5 hr south down state in Detroit. She's in good hands and I really hope they can help her. I feel like I'm finally on the back end of this Covid deal, but still no where near able to travel like that. It's a pretty helpless feeling.
