  1. Stinky Balls ? It's a first for me too. And despite being somewhat curious about this, There is no way I'm typing that into Google . . . . ? A-Jay
  2. Good for you my friend ~ Here's to as many opportunities to be on the water as possible. While there's some challenges involved with that (and I think you know I can relate) you've earned them; many times over. Stay Safe. A-Jay
  3. You can count on it. A-Jay
  4. Victory is Mine ! Looking forward to fishing these new rigs and finding out what they are all about. A-Jay
  5. It's all fun and games until you guys spend a few days having the rod litterally Ripped out of your hand. We'll see who the funny guy is then, won't we. OK, I'll admit it, I'm obsessed. ? A-Jay btw, perhaps ask @Kendrick how he liked his first trip last fall ? He is. A-Jay
  6. My jerkbait on a casting reel needs are done effectively with either one of these. A-Jay
  7. Even though the local fishing opportunities are about to open up, (and I'm very happy about that) the 'next trip' to this very special place is always in the back of my mind. 202 Days & a Wake Up. A-Jay
  8. And THAT's what this forum is All About ~ Very Glad. A-Jay
  9. This messy mix of freezing rain, sleet and snow will continue to impact portions of northeast lower Michigan this morning; however for the moment a least, this area has been spared. My somewhat hurried Boat & Trailer preparations continue. Successfully competed the first 'test tow' with the AT4 yesterday. Predicated by the moderate lift kit in this new truck, this included a pre-ride trailer leveling. Super important. Looks like Monday is still a go but there may be a pretty stiff SW wind. More to follow. A-Jay
  10. Expect to be fishing on Monday ~ so that's 3 days & a Wake Up ! I started this deal at 136 so . . . . . A-Jay
  11. All systems go ~ A-Jay
  12. Amazon.com came through with the goods ~ I suppose I shouldn't be surprised but I am. A-Jay
  13. My rig will be sporting some new hardware this season. Going with the newest versions of the Transom Saver and Hydraulic Steering Lock Clips from DD26 Fishing. A-Jay
  14. Recent events had me advancing my boat prep time line quite a bit. Not complaining though. A-Jay
  15. Just got back from taking my daily cruise over to local Lake Menderchuck ~ and WE HAVE 80 % OPEN WATER ! ! ! ! Easily a new record for this guy. Sadly the next three days are calling for Snow, Freezing Rain & Snow again with very un-fisherman friendly winds & air temps and the boat ramp is still way sketchy with Ice. But the start of the week looks decent and I'll be ready. So I've waited this long and it seems 3 more days might not kill me. Either way, open water in March means this one's at LEAST a full three weeks ahead of the 2021 predicter. Who doesn't Love That ? ! ? ! A-Jay
  16. Sounds about right. Bet he used a little card to plot 'between' the lines ? A-Jay
  17. Hello and Thank You for your service. Welcome to Bass Resources A-Jay
  18. I used Loran A & Loran C and at the time - they were high Tech. The Loran A unit was Huge - Loran C it's replacement, was 90% smaller, more accurate and considerably easier to use. They are both long gone, and no one's sad about that. A-Jay
  19. @Catt This brought a tear to this old man's eye . . . A-Jay
  20. May be lost but not forgotten. Those of us with a little salt in our veins and who know a little about dead reckoning, might say they enjoy the challenge. And don't make me break out my sextant. A-Jay
  21. Yes Sir ~ Being able to get back on a small but productive spot without electronics is a "Art". And if you think that's fun, try it on the blackest of moon-less nights. Add some wind and now you've really got a good time going. Made me very good at "precision" anchoring. The little 363 HB unit I have on the canoe has 'GPS'. However the +/- error of 25 feet or so, makes that deal mostly useless. https://youtu.be/r6E1WCWedPc?t=636 A-Jay
  22. With 95% of the snow gone, I pulled the drive way markers and 'put up' the Snow Blower yesterday ~ Apparently, it was just in time 27 Days and a Wake - Up A-Jay
  23. Either way, I'm sure you're glad they are listening. A-Jay
  24. Early season, and I mean right after ice out so the water tamps are in the high 30's & low 40's, none of the local ramps have the docks in yet. So my solo launch & recovery efforts always involve a 'wet foot' deal. I carry hip boots and a push pole. Have to also say that the Twin 12 ft Talons help out here quite a bit. Happens again at the end of the season when they pull them out before hard water. Works for me and and can pay off with big brown bass. Which is very exciting. A-Jay
  25. GO FISHING ! Right Now - Please. Do It For me. ? A-Jay
