  4. You're very welcome. And if the waters you fish have other game fish besides bass . . . . possibility for by-catch is decent with this one. A-Jay

  6. I got this info in an email from Humminbird on the 14th ~ http://view.exacttarget.com/?qs=f3be1338d1a97a3e07e90c8ae9e787ecbb41acbc550154923cd5b64403cb9760fbf1511933b4ee3620af7621546002c773d71df4c3b3024fd57e5c1b5a320bf4480fdbd5b38d56b6 http://www.humminbird.com/Freshwater/Product-Category/Series/HELIX-5-Series/?utm_source=HELIX™+5+G2&utm_medium=Ascent_Email&utm_campaign=36246204&utm_term=30923076&utm_content=Friday, October 14, 2016 A-Jay
  7. The Big One is a phenomenal fall Pike bait . . . . .but probably not in FLA . . . . A-Jay
  8. My favorite here and a Real Sleeper in the category, is the Rapala X-Rap Sub Walk ~ Casts great, barely runs 12 inches down, can be worked easily to walk the dog (at any speed) - Sub-Surface and perhaps it's best attribute, besides suspending on the hesitation - it has a very attractive side roll right before the suspension on the pause. All of this makes it very suitable in shallow water or in the skinny water over cover, when fish seem hesitant to commit to a surface bait and a jerk bait runs too deep. The Sub-Walk has accounted for many bass for me. A-Jay
  9. You're Welcome and you can bet I'll fish as long as it's safe to do so - only mentioned the date as a reference. By the that time it's usually hard water. A-Jay
  10. Nicely Done Sir ~ I'm finding the same deal here as well. Warm water. It's throwing the whole thong all out of whack ! On this date last year I had snow on the ground and most lakes were at least half way through turn over - some were done. This year - as of today - I don't know of One That's even started ! My killer November bite is all but toast - by the time turn over starts & finishes this year - it'll be Thanksgiving and the Lund will be in deep hibernation. Congrats again A-Jay
  11. Been there and will no doubt - be back. A-Jay
  12. I'm having some decent success on both LMB & SMB using the 5 inch Strike King KVD Swim N Shiner on either the VMC Boxer Jig Head or the VMC Flat Shad Jig Head - 1/4 ounce. Have used casting gear some but prefer medium to medium heavy spinning gear with 15 - 20 lb braid and a leader. And while the Swim N Shiner is good - the SK Rage Rage Swimmer has been just as good or perhaps a little better. Both the 3.75 " and the 4.75" baits - they swim excellent on the 1/4 oz head; especially on a slow crawl & on the fall back to the bottom - where at least half my bites are coming. The colder it gets - the better this should be. - at least up here. A-Jay
  13. The Sebile Flatt Shad - 077 - Suspending model definitely has a well deserved spot in my arsenal. Sort of a "niche" bait for me, but one that in the right situation, excels. Good Luck Paul - we're all counting on you . . . A-Jay

  24. Up in Northern Michigan ~ No Question ~ It's Turn Over. Lakes turn into Nasty Cold Soup for two weeks. Fortunately, they don't all do it at the same time. Once it clears up though - it can be & often is very good. Reminds me of Post Spawn just with gloves on A-Jay
