  1. Please know I'm not complaining about having decent access to Slab Bronzeness . . . And thank you kindly for the offer. I have LM waters available but I'm having a hard time getting to them. Every time I pull out of the driveway, my truck just always seems to end up in Smallmouth country, A-Jay
  2. Thank you my friend ~ Sorry to hear about your recent vicariousness, Hope that gets turned around in time for some Autumn Action. I'll do my best to hold up my end. A-Jay
  3. No way ~ I'm an equal opportunity angler. It's not like I'm only throwing a pink Rat-L-Trap. A-Jay
  4. Sounds like there is an issue. A-Jay
  5. That rod has PacBay reel seat & micro guides and is built on a QX48 IM8 graphite blank with a split grip EVA handle. There's one on EBay going for $65. A-Jay

  9. My reactions seem to be gender specific ~ I'll often go with either . . . . "She Choked it" or "He Hammered it". I'll also openly admit that I can never determine gender by virtue of just the strike. Once it's in the net - I don't actually care. A-Jay
  10. I use Cabelas Guidewear & have been for a while There's a fine line between affordable and wetness. A-Jay
  11. I can sympathize with your smallie plight. But I'm on the other side of the bass fence. I haven't even seen a largemouth of ANY size in over two weeks . . . A-Jay
  12. Went back to what is quickly becoming the favorite new lake. The pre Dawn still dark ride to ramp included a good bit of zero visibility in Fog: especially in those low lying areas. Last trip the 1.5 squarebill accounted for most of if not all of the better bass. 3lb plus. Today I ran through the same cover, Except this time I burned a 2.5 squarebill. And they were all over it for like 90 minutes. A-Jay

  17. I'd say Both - but the method & products that are used also play a role here. After 27 years, depending on the above and the boats storage history, there may be various level of degradation throughout. Hard to undo time. A-Jay
  18. Certainly not a shot - just making a point. A-Jay
  19. For the record, Yes - I've had a few electrical challenges in my day. What you have described is intermittent power to your electronics (going on & off). Your Biggest Problem is Accessibility. You need to be able to get at ALL the Wiring & All the Connections and check them - ALL of them. Because something is compromised, some how. Either it's loose, or frayed, or pinched, or grounded, or not grounded or maybe even burned. Once you have physically looked over then entire deal, you'll most liking find where & what is causing the sporadic power loss to the units and resolving it will be the easy part. Look closely too, it may not be super obvious at first. A-Jay

  21. Chances are it's probably not the units themselves. Sounds like a wiring deal. Although it's usually challenging, tracing your electronics electrical system from beginning to the end may be called for. By checking that power & grounding connections are tight & secure, inspecting wire integrity looking for bad crimps, chaffing, or frayed areas, as well as fuse box connections along the way, could hopefully reveal your problem. 22. Hello Lane and Welcome to Bass Resource Good Luck on your trip btw - I just read that Chisago is closed the last week of August A-Jay
  23. Hello and Welcome to Bass Resource ~ Congrats on being in the market for your first boat, but now the Real work begins. You have a lot of decisions to make well before you start looking. Think of your new boat as a tool and choosing the best one for the job is important. So although the membership here is most knowledgeable and very willing to share their vast experience, you'll need to offer much more in the way of information. Factors like Where & How you fish, are you looking at a new or pre-owned purchase, what is your experience owning, maintaining and running a boat, motor & trailer. These things matter and that's just for starters. Help us out and we'll have a much better chance of successfully helping you out. A-Jay
