  5. I've had occasion to use the St Croix Customer service and have been Very Satisfied with the results every time. You can call the Customer service desk and ask about your situation. They will most likely tell you to do exactly what is in the link posted below. Basiccaly looks like this ~ Ship the rod, include a note with contact info & what happened. Wait a week or two for a phone call. Decide from there. A-Jay http://stcroixrods.com/service-warranty/service-warranty-policies/

  8. Over this past winter, I just went through this same dilemma myself. Picking two new units for the a new Lund Pro V Bass. After spending several hours on front of both (as well as other models), I went with a pair of the HELIX 10 SI GPS KVD units. Both will be flush mounted, one at the console and the other on the bow. I looked hard at the 9's and the 12's. Both great units, but for the money, what you get compared to what I wanted & needed, the 10's fit the bill. Good Luck. A-Jay
  9. Congrats ~ I'm still waiting - Oh, and 'enjoying' the snow we got last night. A-Jay

  12. Some of us have been fishing this style of Texas rigged skirt & plastic for a while. Certainly years before the Slither rig. Fishes like a jig. Load up on the weight, it's very punch friendly. A-Jay
  13. The difference in casting distance, lure running depth a well as strength & abrasion resistance between 12 & 14 lb line might not be that much. May come down to where your presenting the baits. If you need depth, which when deep cranking is a by product of casting distance, the 12lb may be the way to go. If you're fishing around some cover, the slightly heavier 14 might get it done a bit better. A-Jay
  14. Pretty Bass ~ PB's are Always a Blast Congrats A-Jay
