  1. Congratulations Sam!!!!
  2. Dang J, That freaking sucks dude! What body of water were you fishing?? How has fishing been for ya'll other then this last story? I've been out alot lately and I have been having a terrible time getting a bass in the boat.!!! Have you ever fished the Arkendale Flats? I went out there the other day trying to do something different but I couldn't catch anything out their!!!
  3. Bass Chump, So glad to hear that you're back out on the water!!!!! As for advice on the bites: Go buy some super glue... Once you hook the lure at the top and bring it up to the top of the hook stick the tude of glue into the lure where you put the hook and fill the hole with glue. This will help the worm stick to the hook so you do not lose the lure as often. When you feel a bite sometimes just a tap tap could be a very small fish that can only get the tail in it's mouth, therefore when you jerk up on the rod you never catch the fish. My advice to you would be to tell you to either down size the bait or give the fish more time to take the bait. Patience is the key here. I have my troubles getting bites, but when you set the hook if it is a regular hook reel the line tight as possible and then pull straight up as fast and hard as possible. You will either catch him or rip it out of his mouth. If you are using a bait with treble hooks when you set the hook pull the rod sideways. I hope you will have some pics up on here soon buddy!!!! ;)
  4. I have been having the same problem!!! I have an awesome lake I fish but the last 2 times I have been out fishing I couldn't catch but a couple of fish!!! > On the lake I usually catch 100-150 fish each day. That was pre-spawn but now I'm lost. If you figure them out please let me know!!! Good Luck to You!!

  9. I was out with my dad fishing the chesapeake bay last year and he had a couple of poles with a topwater chunk for the blue fish and the seagulls wouldn't leave our boat. We could barely see land and they continued to follow us around. About 5 mins after I told my dad it would be funny if one of them bit and and sure enough. My fiance filmed it but we couldn't find the video to post on here. It was the highlight of our day!!! hahaha ;D
  10. I think your fish weighs about 2.5-3 lbs.
  11. He doesn't do a very good job with the hog head!!!!
  12. So you are saying that the "big bite" is between 10-3???
  13. I was going to ask how you ended the day soaking wet!!! hahahahha ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
  14. i don't think I would have added so many minnows. The main thing I would do is get you a .22 and kill the nasty snappin turtles. They can over take a small pond before you know it.

  18. HAHAHA I figured this subject would come up sooner or later. I was just talking with my Fiance the other day about this... If I have a big trip coming up I will take all of my tackle out of my boat and re string all my lines and take all my tackle and scatter it all over the living room floor (Just to tick her off!!!! ;D ;D ;D) If I have a "pretty" colored lure in her eyes she will ask me if I have ever caught a fish on it, the last time she asked me that I was hold a large deep diver and I said "hell no, but If you were a fish would you eat it???" Then like a retard I acted like I was going to bite the lure and ended up barely hooking myself in the chin... Darn I was ticked off the rest of the night. But she got her laugh. ;D

    Welcome to the Forums!!!!
  20. Nekvt, Hey I'm not sure where you are from but I'm from NoVa. Summer months are very difficult to fish here. At least where I fish... or maybe I just don't know what I am doing. But if you are fishing any type of deep water try deep diving crankbaits. Or a lizard... post spawn in NoVa lizards are very productive. I agree with Marty when he said to fish the weeds topwater over sunny skys. That is very productive. Well Good Luck to You!!!!
  21. HAHAHA that sucks!!!! I always set the hook to the right of my head just so that doesn't happen... Hope you learned a lesson. ;D
  22. Welcome Git r Done83!!!! where are you from in NoVa???
