Bull heads keep the bottom clean so are bass can live. I clean them and roll them on a wood fire heads and all with some salt there yummy.

Fishing from shore I'm limited by how far I can cast. I watch fish for up to months working over the lilly pads when I can reach them. I'm very patient. My first catch was a 6lb 1oz bass after a week of waiting for it to come close to me so I could cast past it. It took me over a month at another place fishing everyday to finally see whats causing all the relentless action again in the pads. I nailed a 32" chain pickerel. The battles are awesome with these baby members of the pike family. At first we think its a giant DD bass but the way it fights its no bass.

Alone. I hate people bugging me when I'm in the zone. I'm thinking about my Oscar winning presentation. At 4am I'm alone with the animals. I have one clown when he sees me he screams out hi. I think he does it to shut the fish down. He knows I caught the 10lber he seen it and the biggest pickerel there too. I'm not far off my hunt.

I collect old fishing equipment from bamboo and steel rods to old lures. Looks like you have a good start on collecting. If you want to trade them for new in the box lures let me know.

Caught on the water with a 16' boat in a micro burst. I had a kid run into my car at a red light. As I went to move he rolled off my hood and ran.

I never give up when I caught bass there before. Don't forget the split shot rigged worm.

I have a box of standard and custom painted peacock lhur Jensen topwater prop lures. I been searching for peacock bass in the northeast. Kidding. In Maine don't forget kittery trading post.

I have had to bend them a lot to get them usable again. The cheaper $2 ones. The bass do tear them up.

First turn off your magnets, then tghten your friction knob to adjust it for the weight of your lure. So it falls to the ground and the spool stops, no back last. Then put the magnets have way on. Try a cast. I use a thumb brake sometimes.

I go though my normal ritual of lures. I go through them again using different presentations. I may go with an array of different sizes, weights and colors. When in doubt throw firetiger. Then I give up on cranks and throw senkos. On a Carolina rig. Then I go to brushogs and worms. By 8:30/9am I go to deeper baits. I'm disabled so moving is not going to happen. I'm stuck there to figure it out. I enjoy doing that.

Bass are opportunists. They eat anything that's easy prey.

START off with topwater poppers, then Shallow square A cranks, inline spinners. Walk up softly through the woods to it. Don't step on tree roots and rocks sticking up out of the ground. Be STEALTHY.

The bottom line is with copolymer line there is less stretch, better faster, solid hook sets. The Excalibur silver thread line has performed the best so far for me.
