Does Mosquito Repellant Scare Bass?
My grandfather worked his 1/4 acre garden by hand in the evenings. He had a garlic necklace. That would attract bass? Lol but I do eat a lot of garlic. When I was logging I washed my hands and arms with the two stroke mix that kept the tics and bugs away. Then I wiped some off that worked.

What Is The Best Fishing Rod For Me (And The Lady)?
Well I think you need to think about a freshwater setup and a inshore setup.

Which Is Better Spinning Reels Or Bait Casting Reels??
Spinning reels vs casting reels. Spinning setups I can cast lighter weight, smaller baits. Distance wise I can cast farther than a baitcaster. To me the larger circle diameter on the spinning reel handle to me is awkward to burn spinnerbaits. Casting set ups I can reel a CRANKBAIT on a more even speed and burn a spinnerbait at a more even speed. But I can't cast smaller lighter baits. The casting setup seems stronger to pull up any size bass that's buried in the weeds with the heavier line test. Each type of reel has its limits on line test. We can't really get the most performance using a heavier test line that's past the capabilities of the spools because of the tightness of the wrap. I guess each has its pro's and con's.

Spinner Bait On A Jig Rod
Does anyone use two spinnerbait setups one for smaller lighter spinnerbaits with lighter line 6/8lb test with a 5'6" med rod for 1/8oz, to 3/16 to 1/4oz spinnerbaits. Then a 6'/6'6" setup for 3/8 to 1/2 oz spinnerbaits using 10/12lb test? I don't know why but my success rate is with the smaller spinnerbaits.

What Color Big Bite Baits Stick Worm Is This?
Red silver flake or Red silver flash? Strawberry flash? Ill bet they toss there over runs on the production line in a bag and off they go. Assorted=over runs I hate it when they do this. Sometimes it's a discontinued color. It turns out to be a hot color. Mister twister did this with a strawberry silver flaked grub. I murdered the bass with only two more in the assorted bag. Nothing on there website.

Im Looking For A New Rod And Its Got Be Light!
Change reels out till it's balanced, Back when I fished 24/7 for over three months straight I swear my knuckles would drag on the ground the first few trips when I left. I use lures only even to this day. Constantly casting is one Heck of a upper body workout. Start counting your casts you maybe surprised.

Im Looking For A New Rod And Its Got Be Light!
It depends on how tired you feel after making 1,000 casts, to balance or not to balance. Good to check it anyway. To me the rod weight wasn't that important. The balance is more important. I make sure my setups are spot on anyway. There more comfortable. Can some over reel a rod? I find on spinning rods a #30 reel can be way off. A #25 or #20 reel can be spot on. At the same time were matching the reel size to the rod. I'm finding between the brand's it's easy to miss match the reel. I want the setup to be comfortable too. I want the best performance too. I'm not a pro nor claim to be but I'm serious and have the heart of a pro. Exercise is the key to lasting.

What's The Most Underrated Productive Bait?
I think the most overlooked bait is the inline spinner. It can be still very productive. What do you think?

Im Looking For A New Rod And Its Got Be Light!
You still need to check the balance of the setup. Then add weight to the butt of the rod or swap reels till it balanced. For any newbies the balance matters when we all handle the rod with one hand in casting or reeling. Like Tom said it can be nose heavy. Then we're fighting it.

Lures
The original rapala floating minnow is one of my favorite silent baits too. The shad raps too. I've had success with the jointed minnows too.

Lures
The rule of thumb was what ever you had success with in the springtime works in the fall too. During the summertime it's fishing more with plastics.

Cost Of Being A Pro
That's $75k to $120k per year just expense. That's not the truck, the boat, trailer or electronics. I look at it this way I enjoy fishing. If there was money involved and pressure to win the enjoyment and fun would be over it turns into a job then. Now I can't factor in the time away from home from the family. I worked 6-7 days a week all my life and still missed my family. A pro fisherman is not there at all. I don't think it an easy life even if your family was with you. The bottom line is what you win the expenses and taxes come out of that too. Winning means the public buys your sponcers products. That in turn supports you somewhat. You don't win or place near top ten. I chose a 8-4 job and let the company have the business worries.

Which Is Better Spinning Reels Or Bait Casting Reels??
Probably a tough question because it's shore fisherman vs boat fisherman too. Do you fish mainly from shore or a boat or both? Spinning, bait casting reel or both? Pro's Con's

It Never Ends.
I'm careless, I never was before. I was a logger full and part-time inbetween jobs. I was accident free since 1979 when I purchased the first saw. I have; Worn out knees Three bad disc lower back Spinal stenosis Golf ball sized kidney stone in kidney I'm a poster child for something. Longevity in my family is 43/52 years old. I'm 65yo. Lucky. I am blessed to still be on this side of the green. Time to just fish now. I never smoked nor drank, that's the plus.

Super Blood Moon Solunar Eclipse= Sunday 9-27
Weird?? It ties around global events. It's been predicted earth quakes on east and west coasts USA. An asteroid was going to hit USA. The asphalt is melting in Yellowstone and and ground is rising. The animals are fleeing too. This one I believe. Yellowstone is a super volcano the largest one in the world. There's evidence of every time the plates move it pops a hole up through them. It erupts to vent. Great

Burlington, Vt Area Fishing
My camp is in Rochester,vt a few minutes to the white river. About 20 minutes to where the white river starts in the national forest up behind the bowl mill access road. To catch native trout you need to crawl up the the stream. Lake Dumore isn't far from me too just over the mountain on rt73 through Brandon gap. I've heard of a gravel pit nearby to fish too. Years ago the true facts were 20" Brown trout near the golf course on rt100. Haven't fished there much but hoping to spend my final days up there. My family has been hunting in Granville at matsons farm since the 6 0's. I went bear hunting in 73 and fell in love with the area. The area hasn't changed even today it's the same. I like that. My kids could shoot bbq guns at soda cans no neighbors to complain. Freedom
