  1. I'm moving to Minnesota land of 1,000 lakes.
  2. Your not alone. I was a fish out of water at 30' in a boat. I got kicked by people we were with.(live bait) I need to listen up here.
  3. Goldfish interbreeding?
  4. I placed a $136 order at GYCB. at full price I was looking to see anyone who maybe cheaper. I like to purchase ten packages at a time. I'm going to teach my son's and there spouses about senkos.
  5. BPS offered there stik o worm in Amber flake for a very short time. They never restocked it. The red / LG flake senkos are hard to find too. Nothing at cable's or BPS website. I need to try DSG.
  6. Going by the ten year test results the bass don't see all the colors all the time. They can be color blind or color limited. Quote, Bill Dance one color may catch a few bass another color may load the boat. I haven't read all the lab test results. Do you think the worm colors can have the same success in senkos? My natural crawfish are red sides with black backs. The redshad worms and red, LG flake senkos, the motor oil LG flake senkos are successful. Even the red, flake brushogs. The bomber redapple craw CRANKBAIT is good too. We have a relationship between the red colors in different types of baits and presentations. As the time of day changes so do the baits. I've seen the bass feeding frenzy where the bass only hit my rebel BIGCLAW CRAWFISH CRANKBAIT. My son tossed every other crawfish bait I had but that BIGCLAW in chartruese was hotter than Haiti that night. Even other chartruese cranks wouldn't work. This tells me they can single out one bait. One pattern. So we can have a multiple pattern or a single pattern. My point is why do so many fishermen stay using one bait, one color when it's not working. Is it that hard to change baits and colors. On the BIGCLAW bass feeding frenzy night a guy walks past me seeing me catch bass after bass says I'm having a good night. I'm throwing the crawfish crank. He's tossing a spinnerbait.
  7. I just checked BPS and Cabelas to see if they had my senkos colors. They don't ever seen to restock online. I just don't get it. I just purchased 10 bags of senkos from over stocked bait & tackle. At BPS I purchased there stik o worm when they first offered it, I had success ordered more but when I went to order a third time they were sold out for a decade now. I just don't get it. The stik o worms lasted longer over senkos. I like to shop in the fall and through the winter for sales even if it's free shipping or flat rate shipping. I have no clue why they don't restock. Another thing that I don't understand is why doesn't cabelas, bps, the other sellers put out there spring catalogue in December 1st so we can get the spring bargains as Christmas presents. I don't get it.
  8. That's a 6lber in my hand she's turned sideways you can't see her belly. Plus my big size makes it look small.
  9. I understand your consern. Have you had one mad enough to snap his jaws at you let? I was thinking about removing a tremble?? I had a decent size pickerel inhale my CRANKBAIT to the point he could close his mouth. As I opened his mouth with large surgical long nose pliers he would slam his mouth shut trying to bite me. Luckily I got out one treble and the other one came free in the process. He kept on slamming his mouth shut. I never seen a fish so feisty.
  10. Maybe the bass smack my topnocker to turn it around because it's facing the wrong direction to eat it? I froze and stopped my presentation on the first pass. One hail Mary as she turned. Do bass stun there prey before eating it? Can they do the same thing with deeper running baits that's my point.
  11. I want to rethink my "quick fish" go fishing on the fly tackle box. I'm thinking on just carrying my hottest baits. Bomber Model A crankbaits Norman thin 's. Spinnerbaits Inline spinners Spooks Poppers Plastics, grubs, Soft minnow baits. C-rig senkos, brushogs. Spin flys Way less than I was carrying. It's going to be hard to leave my portable bait shop home.
  12. One of Bill Dances bytes on Facebook he taLKed about the UV.
  13. Good or bad I go anyway when I want to fish.

New world record congrats. Nice fight?
  15. Wear darker color clothes. One place I fish is deeper in the woods. I cast as far away from me to the other side as I can. I found that the rebel bug series cranks work. The yellow bumblebees and grasshoppers. If the water is clear it's smaller natural color baits fished faster so the bass can't get a good look at them. Now your catching dinks. Catch the dinks but when the dinks bite slows down upside your bait. The larger bass come in to see what the dinks are feeding on but won't hit the smaller bait. If u upside and nothing happens change bait colors. Use a scent too.
  16. I was fishing in the light warm drizzle(rain). It was during the full moon phases. The bass bite was on. I felt something looking at me. I look down the road there's a doe with two fawns frozen looking at me. My point is it seems everything is on the move during the moon phases. It could be a plus in our favor.
  17. I was faithfully following the Maori charts on when there are good times and bad times to fish. I did adjust there time to my time zone. My PB 10# was caught when the charts said good early. My PB was caught at 4:30/5am at twilight. Like the charts said good early. These Maori charts were in Outdoor Life. But they discontinued them. On the days they said excellent I caught fish. The Maori charts were pretty much correct. I'm thinking there going by the moon phases. The Linder boys at Infisherman did a show about how to catch record breaking fish. They fish by the full moon phases. They say fish days before the full moon, during the full moon phase and days after the full moon phase.
  18. Ok let's share this knowledge and experience on what's your successful senkos type bait color? Senkos brand, Red, large red flake Motor oil flake Gambler ACE Electric Blue. B P S stik o worm Red shad Amber flake What's yours? I noticed with the senkos brand 5" we get 10ct. With 6" we get only 5ct. I did buy an assortment of mister twister comida (MT SENKO) to try in different colors. Do you more experienced guys think the successful worm colors will transfer the same success into senkos colors? Looking for some senkos savvy. Thanks guys/gals.
  19. I think we forgot something. I seen bass actually slap my topnocker to stun it then do a 360 degree turn and inhale it. I see the size of the fish as it went after my topnocker like it was a PT boat. It slapped my topwater lure, missing it, I froze in awe. As I seen it turn to hit my paused lure. My point is if you get a hit, pause for a minute. It just might hit it again. There's some history behind this bass that hit my topnocker. I buddy broke his bass rod trying to horse it out of the deep weeds in this cove. He lasted like 30 minutes. Now this bass took my topnocker into the deep weeds she went again. I tried to pull her up but it was a long cast from shore. Human 0 big bass 1 Since then I upgraded my line test.
  20. A $1,200 rain suit. I purchased Swiss surplus camo poncho rain gear I think it was $10 x2 for my son's. That's $1,180 I have to buy baits. Sorry there I go off again If your a pro fisherman your sponcered and paid to use free stuff. The common fisherman like me and others who aren't pros or sponcered, I feel we can get buy more affordable.
  21. Don't forget our online sales with reduced or free shipping too everybody wins.
  22. My second kindle is failing. The spell check changes my words. I'm sorry I catch it sometimes but I miss it too.
  23. Trust me we all forget at times. Sometimes the first few pages in a logbook should be a list of different baits/rigs/plastics. I do have a 3700 tackle tray loaded with pre rigged plastics. My memory at 65yo is slipping sometimes. I forget what new baits I have squirrels away. I was going to order inline spinners I found a whole box full today.
  24. Only if we let it get expensive. Shop smart.I purchased a producer brand orange spook. Discounted $1.99.I never expected it to work as good as it does. The first time out I caught five nice bass back to back. I'm convinced to try any color now even the weird ones.
  25. Even good quality reels wear from usage that's a good thing that means your using it. When I first got into bass fishing I had a $7 UL Spinning reel from Wal-Mart made by a large well known reel manufacturer. Fishing for trout it was fine But when we went bass fishing between the heavy usage and the larger bass over the wimpy trout the reel was worn out. The first thing to wear out was the bail housing bearing. Fish can take it's toll on equipment that's my point. With saltwater blue fish I can understand a reel wearing out in time. I never thought that heavy usage with lmb could do it. My next move up in reel quality was the Wal-Mart quantum. One caught my pb#10. I still have that setup today. I retired it. Funny we never talk about how we set the drag. I don't like it too loose where I hear it on the hook set. Nor do I set it too tight where a violent strike could snap the line before it gives. I don't horse a fish in. I keep the line tight and try to not tire it out too much. My drag is set on the tight side but not too tight. I hardly ever hear it.
