If you go to you tube pike and muskies eat baby anything gators too.Go out at midnight and flash a light at the waters edge. It's full of freshwater eels. That's why the bass are feeding at the shoreline. Snakes, eels, plastic worms what ever.

Rattles all the time it's a plus. I put rattles in my jigs, on my plastics most of the time. They ring the dinnerbell. Using rattles and scents is a plus. But I use rapala with no rattles but I do throw a mix of baits till I find the pattern.

I see spinning rods from 5', 5'6", 6', 6'6", 7', 7'2" etc. I don't see the baitcasters in 6' lengths? Why do we see so many MED/HVY action rods and no separate heavy action rods? Do you prefer a one piece rod or two piece rod? In shore fishing a longer rod can be impossible to use casting from heavy cover on land. Most of the time a 5'6" or 6' rod is much easier to use. The med action and med/hvy action rods confuse me. Is there really that much difference between them? I always been a two piece rod guy. But lately after owning a one piece rod the taper feels much smoother on the bending.

If you have rocks sticking up fish the back side of the rocks, fish the pools, fish the backwashes. River fishing can be very productive. inline spinners, spinflys, crawfish cranks. Try to fish the edge of the moving current to where the edge of the backwash is. The fish wait for a easy snack at that moving transition point. Remember I find river bass much stronger.

Seen a boat launched without the anchor on the ramp, no rope off drifted the boat. He casted out a lure to catch the boat to drag it to shore.

I was all over the high 3's. Under 4lbs. I lost its ok. I think I was at 3/12, I knew it was under 4lbs. Thanks for the chance it was fun

Do you let the light and water conditions dictate whether you use a shorter length natural color or a longer length brighter color? Or never gave it much thought and use what color your confident with?

My Berkley cherrywood 6' MED spinning rod with a VIVA spinning reel for plastics. Favorite My other setups are LEWS spinning rods with fin nor or OKUMA reels. I'm setting up my baitcasters as we speak with new rods.

Yup after having most of the affordable baits I splurged on four luckycraft pointers and high roller poppers. They work. Of course I hate to lose one. Haven't yet. I keep them in the open water.

Snake bait I have some older packages of it.

Use a scent they could pick up a foul oder. On the short strikes. I wash my baits and tackle boxes once a year with a little mild dish soap. I keep it all clean. I wash my hands with big orange before going fishing. I don't touch gas or oil after washing my hands. In the morning I get up.,,,,,, I shower, get dressed the exact same way before going fishing. I put my shoes on the exact same way. I wear my lucky that, polarized glasses. I load the car and drive the exact same streets to get there.

GY senkos just took $100 from me again. We don't get much for $100. Mainly red senkos for now.

The plastics get greasy in the bag I just put them in a zip lock bag in there original bag. They still feel ok.

Mann's classic twin Indiana gold blades in white for clear to slightly stained water and chartruese for darker water. The mister twister 4" split double tail trailer is a killer with a trailer hook. I've never used another trailer that had this lifelike swimming action. I do trim the length of the grubs body so it fits the length of the shorter hooks. Plus the smaller 1/8, 3/16, 1/4oz spinnerbaits in some cases seem balanced better. The 4" split double tail grub adds a wider more full body look to the spinnerbaits. The Mann's spinnerbaits were called the Hank Parker Classic spinnerbaits but now there just called classic spinnerbaits.

What do you normally do when you replace treble hooks on your baits? On the rear treble hook I like to go up one size on my crankbaits if it doesn't affect the action of the bait. I feel the larger rear hook gives me a better hookup. On some of the inline spinners I may add a larger fancier bucktail treble. And a larger treble hook if possible. The more flash on the Bucktail the better. It has increased my catch. If you look at the mepps XD inline spinners they have sparkles in the Bucktail. I feel it increases the attraction. The XD3 silver/white has been a successful bait for me. I think it's the silver/sparkle. So what changes have you made to your baits to improve them? Thoughts??
