  1. Take pictures of the awesome looking ones, measure each one. Then have a taxidermy do a mount of four or five. I seen these befoe mounted they look great in the den.
  2. I use 8lb Excalibur Silver thread copolymer line for 1/8oz to 1/4oz spinnerbaits. For my c-rig wacky rig senkos it's 14lb test Excalibur Silver thread line copolymer. The heavier line slows the rate of fall for a longer presentation on the drop.
  3. Where go you gals/guys/youngsters get your rod building supplies at?
  4. We never know what's going to bite sometimes. Congrats on a fine trip
  5. One of my spots the swamp is loaded with chain pickerel and lmb. One Friday night it's all bass after bass we had doubles between us for a while. Now Saturday morning it's all pickerel. Go figure in the same spot. Now if you want bigger fish upsize your bait. Suggestion, steel leader Wal-Mart has them.
  6. My older brother was a avid saltwater fisherman. He would go an hour or two before the high tide and stay an hour past from shore. He would throw,,, The white and blue Atom poppers. The weighted surgical tubing (mimic eels) A multiple hooked/feathered mackerel jig rig. (Mackerel for bait he would freeze the extra) A silver Hopkins with a white cocktail for harbor blues.(smaller) For snapper blues we used ul tackle with mini frozen shrimp with a bobber. Checkout over stocked bait&tackle to look at saltwater lures.
  7. Well I fish for in the springtime everyday for over three months+. Till I get burned out. I been sick the past few years but recovering. I have a good back brace now. I'm hoping to start fishing soon till the ice is on. I'm itching for the fall feed to happen.
  8. I like local kids football and baseball and college ball over the pros. pro baseball has its drug use too. Sad Even soccer took a hit recently. It's not a good image were sending to our youth.
  9. Pic pipe with a cap that's metered for reduced air flow on one end and a hair dryer on the other end a rod dryer oven?
  10. Seen this double blade before I think I have some.
  11. Hope your motor is ok. While trolling for blues we missed a telephone pole floating in the waves. It wasn't a good sight to see. The waves kept it hidden in one direction.
  12. I like it, plenty of room for tackle. I always wanted the LUND deep vee we see on Infisherman. But my jeep wrangled is setup for a trailer but not that heavy. I need a new Ford truck too. One awesome lake here for fishing has a limit of 10hp. I would need another motor next to the 200hp. There's no room But maybe a motor bracket?
  13. My quantum KVD tournament baitcaster has those mini eyes. Just handled it yesterday. It's going fishing soon. I have the U.S. REEL super caster on it the 800 Hibdon.
  14. I can use the topnocker with so many different presentations it's drives bass crazy. I can use a quick snap twitch so it pops vertical in one spot. The 1 twitch, 2 twitch, 3 twitch n pause works, walk the dog on the surface, "walk the torpedo" under the surface by holding the rod tip down and reeling. It walks the dog submerged. It's a bass magnet. Throw the topnocker along side the pads and slowly walk it.The downfall is everyone can catch bass on it. The ones who don't c&r I sent bps emails about offering it again but no luck in doing so. Maybe a Japanese or Chinese company will offer it. I just found the bagley knocker B I just ordered a few to try. It looks close to the topnocker.. on sale at "over stocked bait tackle".
  15. I just received a report from Pandora that I listened to 53.4k songs since 2013. I listen to all types of music. Pandora is free with a Kindle.
  16. Good mentoring for kids. Cheaters win Cheating didn't stop the super bowl think about it. It's not about the honesty or integrity of the sport it's all about the money. I tell my son Vegas runs sports. He laughs. Between all the wife abuse, steroid use and cheating I'd rather be out fishing.
  17. That you for serving, god bless, take care. Bb
  18. Since ammo is expensive why not hunt quackers with live minnows and a baitcaster? Lol I like eating duck.
  19. Here r my ducks before. 2" long. I found orange grubs for legs Yellow feathers for the sides A buzz blade for the front. Spinnerbait wire to hold it all together.
  20. I haven't tried the mister twister 4" split double tail grub yet on a jig but it's a killer on the spinnerbaits with a trailer hook. Do u guys/gals us a trailer hook on a jig?
  21. My rebel BIGCLAW CRAWFISH crankbaits that dives to ten feet in chartruese is a very successful bait. To me it's one of my hottest baits. It has me thinking now maybe a chartruese colored jig would be a hot setup too. Mike at Sieberts Outdoors made me up some chartruese colored jigs I have yet to toss them. On my chartruese spinnerbaits I change the color to hot chartruese. I believe that colors really matter than most fisherman think about it. On a slow day it can be your bait color. When my most productive red amber flake senkos didn't produce my electric blue flake did. When most of all my crank colors failed to work the firetiger color caught fish. I'm a color freak, don't limit your colors. I'm no pro or claim to be I just like to catch fish.
  22. You don't let the light and water conditions influence what color jig and trailer we use? The jig represents the natural craws. Match the color of the natural craws. Does the color game change when using jigs? Sorry I consider myself still new with jigs. The football head 3/8oz green pumpkin skirt with a flw green chunk trailer with twin rattles works for me so far. I haven't taken the time to experiment yet. My craws in the ponds and small lakes have black backs and red sides. (Live ones) The river craws are a beige color.(dead ones) The size/weight matters in depth? The bass are limited at times to what colors they can see do to light and water conditions. If our jig isn't working it could be the wrong color.
  23. Hunt n fish the same day being retired count me in.
  24. Up here in the northeast we cut trees during the winter. I would cut 50-100 cords every winter. No one had a better workplace than me. I could shut the saw off, sit on a stump and hear the falling snow hit the ground. At 64yo those days are gone now. I do little projects now between plowing snow.
  25. When I was logging I never cut during bird and deer season during the week. Sunday's was no hunting. But I still seen hunters in the woods. I was doing work for the state cutting a very large maple tree in the pouring rain. It had very large poison ivory vines. I figured it would keep the dust down. It was bow season. I'm running a 100cc saw with a 32" bar the bow hunter walks up behind me. As I swung the bar out of the cut I seen him in the corner of my eye. If I swung the saw completely around I could of cut him in half. I just let off the throttle. The state ranger called me to cut it. I took seven cords of firewood off that one tree.
