  1. Big ribbon tail worms,Jigs,C-rig. HOLD _ON!
  2. Try fishing some points if your lake has some that you can get to. Bass will go to back ( post spawn ) to where they where staging for the pre-spawn.
  3. You can fish a float & fly so why not a Ned under a bobber? May have to up size the bobber a bit!
  4. Keep pulling on the worm ( with out braking the worm ) and that will force the salt out of the bait. And that is how to make them float better!
  5. Let the fish tell you how they want it!!! Some people fish way too fast! Let it sit and wiggle the rod tip.
  6. I fish a 1/2 oz. and I have no problem getting it out there. Are you fishing a baitcaster or spinning? And what size line are you fishing?
  7. Yes on a stand up jig it will!
  8. A Netbait C-Mac 7 in. it has alot of tail action!
  9. Thanks guys for all the tips, the worst I can do is just buy a new one but, it is not too bad at all.I looked at it better after posting this and it is just surface rust. Thanks again!
  10. A dark jig and after that a dark jig!!!!! Buy if I get bored and want to cover alot of water then a spinnerbait with big blades or a rattle trap.
  11. I will start out with the same baits and if after awhile I will may go with the same bait but different colors. And if nothing after that I will mix it up on the baits.
  12. I fish a 1/16 and a 1/8 oz. that is all you need. Maybe 1/4 oz. in deep water. It shines in clear water but will do well in darker water too!
  13. I agree very good heads for a swimbait!
  14. First I would up size your rod to a M or MH and try the new VMC Powershot hook! It is a spin shot hook but made for bigger bait on a drop shot. This is what I do on a drop shot ( big or small baits ) I fish two spin shot hooks, one about 10 to 12 in. from the weight and the other hook about 10 to 15 in. above the other hook. That way I cover more water and get a few doubles. But to answer your question I do fish big baits on a drop shot,7 in. ribbon tail worm,Paca craws, lizards, paddle tail swim baits, trick worms, ect. And with the VMC hooks no more line twist and the hook moves 360 degrees!
  15. A weedless bait just means that it has some kind of weed guard to protect the lure from getting hung up.You will still loose baits and still pick weeds off the bait but it is better than throwing a open hook bait!!!!!
  16. I did not explain myself in the wright way. You are wright if I am trying to find fish with a crank, spinnerbait, topwater and I find them and they are hitting on say=a crank! I am not putting down the crankbait to fish a slow bait! But if the bite stops on the crank I know that there should be more fish there and now I will go to a jig,T-rig,drop shot ect. to pick some more fish up.
  17. Spinnerbait,crankbait,topwater!
  18. This is not so. i am not calling you out so don't take it that way. But if bass are following the bait they are interested in it but something is wrong. I have changed blades and that was the trick.Could be color or the retrieve.
  19. Let the bass tell you what they want! Try a Senko, Ned Rig, then I would try a T-rig or a C-Rig, Jig, then move to cranks, topwater, lipless cranks! If active one of these will work or maybe all will. Wright now on Table Rock they hitting alot of different baits!!
  20. I will take a Lew's all day every day!!!!! Game Over!
  21. It is a good jig around rocks and a soft bottom but I still like my football jigs better! I do fish this kind of a jig after a front and fish it reel slow!!!!!!!!!!!
  22. Center and the two bottom! Bass will hit the center bait most of the time as it looks like it is hurt and can't keep up with the school!
  23. So you like Delavan ? I did guide on Delavan for 15 years untill last year when I moved down to Table Rock. If you need any tips PM me!
  24. I start to fish the C-Rig in the post spawn. I think there are better rigs to throw pre-spawn & during the spawn.I fish it heavy, post spawn thru late summer. It is a great rig in the summer and at night!
