  1. For your set up I would fish 10 lb, braid for better hook up's and you can cast it a long way! That is how I fish the ned rig on Table Rock, but my rod is a 7 ft. M action with M tip. And you can always use a leader line but the trick to this rig is the 10 lb. braid!!!!!
  2. Yep, that is what I was talking about. P-Line make's a high -vis. in mono but I wanted a braid that would do the same. I found it at Wal-Mart
  3. Try a crankbait like a Wiggle wart in some form of red in it or just red.HANG -ON
  4. Welcome aboard. This is a great site for info. One bait would be a Senko and you can get some small jigs and make a Ned rig from a Senko also.It is one simple bait to fish and it will put alot of fish in your boat.
  5. I want to thank all of you for being so kind and the prayers for my wife,THANK YOU!
  6. One thing you don't need is a high end ( $$$$ ) rod. You just need a mid range to low end broom stick kind of a rod. Braid 65 lb. and the reel is where I would put my money! A good drag and a fast reel 7.1.Remember you are fishing a top water frog so you don't a sensitive rod just one with alot of backbone.
  7. How long will long will it extend to? The bass Pro one that I was talking about has 30 ft. of rope that I would replace with 80 braid.
  8. Netbait Paca Craw or any of the Paca Craw lineup!
  9. I feel like road kill after going through all this stuff! LOl
  10. Interstate Batteries! say no more!
  11. Give me the Lew's, best reels I have ever used! And worth every penny!
  12. I would think that the trick to that would put the line on a old baitcaster and just hit the botton and use a old rod handle.
  13. Now that I call Table Rock lake my home I will need one with all the trees and rock.I was just wanted to know if there is a better one out there?
  14. I ran into the guy that first told me about the line..I had it somewhat wrong! It was Spider Wire Glow viz.And he said Wall-Mart sells it.
  15. I had been guiding on Delavan and Geneva for 15 years. But I did guide at night and there are some PIGS to be caught on these two lakes! I had a 7.2 smallmouth and a 8 1/2 lb. large mouth out of Delavan. I know there are bigger smallmouth in these lakes.
  16. I just wanted it for a black-lite for night fishing.Someone down here on Table Rock told me about the Glow braid and maybe it is the Tracer you are talking about?
  17. Does Fire line have a braid that is a high vis- for a black lite for night fishing! Some one told me they have a glow braid! But I can't find it anywhere!
  18. My wife and I did sell our house up in Milwaukee Wi. and we did move down to Table rock Lake in Mo. this last May. My wife had a bad fall in a store up in Milwaukee Oct. 5 of 2013 and she has been through hell. But we love it down here,no snow, and great sunsets. The bass fishing has also been very good.Last summer down here the bass fishing was up and down. My big-in was almost 6 lbs.. I can't wait for the spring bite. Good to be back! Dan
  19. Just get some Senko's and that will get you started fish them wacky or T-rig then! If you can't catch bass on that take up Golf!
  20. Ice pick, If you want to fish in the winter in open water, make a trip down south or Table Rock Lake in Mo.! But Midwest leave the top water at home and get some tip-ups
  21. I will also say Greens and browns. And throw in a bit of orange!
  22. You can fish a Brush Hog ANYWHERE! Deep water skinny water pads, slop ect. I like the Brush Hog and i catch bass of many size's. But I like the Baby in the spring or after a front.. I fish them on a C-rig,T-rig, skirtless jig, as a jig trailer, split shot rig, mojo rig. And color can be a factor!!!!!!!
  23. The hooks that come on the jitterbug are JUNK, i could not hook myself if I wanted too! You will miss alot of fish with them hooks. I fish my big jitterbug over deep weedlines, deep docks so I don't have much weed problems!
  24. I fish the BIG Jitterbug and it cast's along way. Two things get a black one and change the hooks out,I use VMC 5/0. On the jitterbug there is a perfect speed and when you find that you will catch a ton of bass!
