  1. I am not sure if any of you know of this little trick! But with Elaztech baits and on a Ned rig or a shakey heads is to pull on the plastic a number of times untill most of the salt comes out of the bait. Salt makes a bait sink and once you do this a number of times you take most of the salt out of the bait and now it will float! Now your Ned rig will stand up and not lay flat and on a shacky head that tail comes up also.
  2. I think they are good baits that hold up well but keep them away from your other plastic's. They will melt and not do well around other plastic's. They last longer than others!
  3. They are a great bait and they will catch bass!! there are alot of old baits that are still out there that we all tend to forget about. Another bait that I have caught alot of bass on is the Mepp's bucktail in the 4 or 5 size!
  4. I agree with Frodo. The fish that you missed it looked like you set too early. Wait for the rod to load up or your line goes tight. the fish you hooked you layed back a bit and let the line load up. Get that slack line up too.
  5. I have fished a EWG 2/0 with mo problems. You just can't cast like a crazy person! Just cast it like you would if you had a small hook!
  6. jig, senko Ned rig.big black jitterbug at night.
  7. Try a bigger hook and a 6 in. senko. It is a killer!
  8. You can wacky rig with any almost any hook. No set rules here!
  9. You are wright,it is a Yum. But the Madman also had little spikes on the claws.
  10. And we don't know what a bass does see or what colors they see!!
  11. Yep! And swimbaits are more of a reaction bait. On a sunny day there is no way a bass can see the color side of a frog and then add wind speed. Most frogs are fished in slop or heavy weeds. I do fish a frog in open water alot but I still do not beleave that they see the color of the frog's side. The bottom of a frog I think they may see color. Most of the time I think they see a dark profile!
  12. I was a rep for Mad man and I would bet a hook that it is a Madman craw! Too bad that Madman went out. I still have many of there baits and still fish them. they had the best looking craw out there. The Craw Bug was a knock off the the Madman craw!
  13. They do make good baits! I still have a bunch of the old Bacon Rinds =remember them? They do glid so nice on a C-rig.
  14. I would not hop the C-rig because you will be picking the weight off the bottom making a bite even harder to detect. Just like the others have said, drag the rig and ALWAYS set the hook with a side set.
  15. I have a 2" ball that has rust and I was going to buy a new one.But I hope to save this one if I can. I used it last year but I left it on all winter.
  16. The top of the frog catch's the fisherman the bottom is the only thing the bass see!
  17. You can't put Z-man baits with other plastic baits,it will melt them also! JJ's is a great sent on all or most other plastic's!
  18. I did grow up in Milwaukee and I did guide in SE Wisconsin lakes untill last year and I moved to Table Rock Mo.! Best thing I ever did!
  19. I live in Blue Eye over by point 5. You will be here at a good time!
  20. They are both good rods and i have both in fact I liked the Veritas so much more that I went out and bought 2 more. The Mojo.s are a bit tip stiff and the Veritas has a better feel and a bit more play in the tip.
  21. X-2 That little rig will catch fish like crazy!! Alot of small bass buy once in a whaile a big-in comes along! It is just a fun way to fish period!
  22. I do use them also. But I tend to use them after a front or in dark water!
