  4. You owe it to your self to try the Gamma copolymer! IMO it is the best!
  5. More than like'y they are FEMALES! Mood swings!
  6. Let the water color tell you what colors you should have. Clear go with shad colors, over cast days I like dull colors and if the water has alot of color go bright color baits.
  7. ALL YEAR! In the spring shad are smaller and after the spawn and into early summer I up size the swimbait abd fish it into the late fall.
  8. I re-read your post and I see that you never used braid on a bait cast before so forgive me.Yes braid to me is no harder to cast or fish with than any other line! Just get a good braid. Most braids are flat and they tend to dig into the spool. But i fish the 832 it is a round braid and Power Pro also makes a round braid also.
  9. If you never used a bait cast reel before I would have put some CHEAP mono on and went out and got used to casting the reel and half the battle is setting the reels up ( brakes and tension knob ). This way if you get a birds nest no big deal with a CHEAP line but braid is a bit high price line to make a mistake on when learning how to use the reel.
  10. jerkbaits, cranks like a wiggle wart.
  11. You should try Gamma lines - sold at TW.
  12. Gamma is the best line I have ever used on spinning gear!
  13. I agree! I have found that when fishing a bigger weight on a T-rig I have better hook ups setting in a side motion. If you set over the top you are picking the weight in a upward motion vs.a side set you are not moving the weight as much,it is like setting the hook with a C-rig!

What I like about the Jika rig is that you can cover alot of water. And the many baits that can be fished on this rig is countless.
  15. Go to fishing knots .com and they show ALL the knots and how to tie them. Cool site
  16. There are alot of good reels out there. I am not putting any of them down and I own alot of the high end bait cast reels and some top spinning reels. I had been a guide for over 15 years and if I could do it all over again I would have only Lews reels on all my rods!
  17. Great on overcast days and post spawn. Good year round bait. They do shine early AM and a great night or sunset bait!
  18. For me a Senko,JIg, any top water,Big Worms in summer!
  19. Also try fishing the tube on a Jika rig or Biffle head and slow roll it ! KILLER
  20. I still fish them in the spring more than anytime of the year. After the spawn I go back to plastic.Just me!
  21. WOW, that is some pretty big stuff. I hope he is much better, things happen for a reason and Darren got his,to serve the word a-man!
